Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 8305 Name: Duel Bikes
*
8305-1 (Inv) Duel Bikes
195 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2000
Sets: Technic: Competition

* Add 4 Part 32271 Black Technic, Liftarm, Modified Bent Thick 1 x 9 (7 - 3) (Counterpart)

Comments from Submitter:
The Stickers sheet for the set 8305 show 4 gray and white stickers to be applied to liftarms 32271. An image of this liftarm with its sticker applied and with the count of 4 should be included in the list of counterparts for this set. That image should also then be searchable on the Bricklink parts database.

Does a decorated part mean the same thing as a printed part?

I'm just curious here, does there have to be a base part with a decorated
part entry for the stickered part to be added?

Or does decorated part mean stickered part?

Very unclear and confusing terminology being used. That's a lot for someone
to understand.

Cheers ...

both stickered parts and printed parts are added in a similar way. the only major
difference is when adding in the name for stickered you include the word pattern
and the set number. (i don't see where you are getting the decorated part
terminology from tho)

"Decorated" parts include both stickered and printed parts.

"Decorated" parts include both stickered and printed parts.

All this confusion. I propose the following:

Decorated part: means any printed part.

Stickered part: Means any part with a sticker on it.

Fortunately we already have "Sticker over Assembly" covered.

This usage of the terminology interchangeably just confuses my brain and Nubs's
too!

Hopefully someone will see reason and distinguish between stickers and printed
parts!

Cheers ...

I think Nubs just copied that from someone else; that's why it says "copied
from admin post". For example, see this post from Diana:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1382089

If you browse the catalog for decorated parts, you will see both printed and
stickered parts. For example, check the "Tile, Decorated" category:
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&catString=39

In the catalog, "decorated" means that something has a pattern. This
pattern can be printed, it can come from a sticker, or it can come from the molding
process itself (dual-molded parts, marbled parts, etc.)

So, it is pretty easy to comprehend if you get your information from the right
place.

Cheers,
Randy
