So far the 1-piece wheels came in sets starting 2011, but I have no idea how
long this set was in production. Does the box show a copyright after 2006?

Can you spot a 7-digit number anywhere near the barcodes? Are either of them

Can you spot a 7-digit number anywhere near the barcodes? Are either of them
4598355?
That exact number was not on any of the boxes.
There was an interesting find through, 3 of the 10 did not have this 118789 number
underneath the barcode. Not sure what that gets us but it is something. The
rest of the numbers on each box matched exactly.

'4291790' is the set's ID. The 4563665 on the box flap suggests that
these are all the 2011 edition of this '2006' set. That is, if that 4563665
number means anything. I find it highly unlikely that a number reminiscent of
an item ID would be on a box flap for no reason. These may be from 2011.

I think it is the item ID of the empty box per se.

That is the item number for the set box.
Why would they be so far apart though? Could it be that later versions had a
box ID added?

Something else on the box changed over the time period. The set still had the
same item number, but something about the box was different. It could have had
a small change to the graphics, different material supplier, different cardboard
weight, etc. Whatever the reason, it was considered significant enough to have
a unique SAP number assigned to it.

But if you know which heads, you can add the c-variants as alternate items.

They were not assembled.
Assembled parts only come in inventories as regular items, when they also came
assembled in the box. Otherwise the assembled bicycles should be listed as counterparts.
This means the assembled bicycles already in the inventory should be changed

If they have come both ways, which way takes precedence? I agree it would probably
make the most sense to switch them to counter part and have a match id on the
wheels only to be more in line with the rest of the sets.
I am on my phone in the car headed home from Wichita. I should have pics from
opening this set last summer. I may have the bikes still also. I opened a bunch
of similar sets last summer and did not assemble bikes that didn’t Come that

I have not found opening pics. I do forget to do it sometimes. I have 8 red

would have come from the factory assembled. I have one red bicycle with 2 piece
wheels that is not assembled. Later I will see if I can work out provenance on
those.

I will do a deeper check for opening pics soon, but I have had and sold too many
red bikes to be certain in the last year. But my preponderance of assembled bicycles
gives me a strong confidence that mine came that way. I definitely wouldn’t have
assembled them if they didn’t come that way and if they came unassembled And
I was expecting assembled, I very very likely would have made a change request.
I don’t remember if I was asked or recorded a date stamp from mine here. I may
still have the box. But something I already see that may help with the discussion
is that I added a variant minifig with a curved cap. That would indicate that
mine was manufactured at least as late as 2009. Long production run.

ooooh, why no box? Looking at the parts it's not version 1 (yellow cone,
black tool wheel). But the other 3 (with the same box), also have yellow cone
and black tool wheel.
It looks like all 4 are from the same period and all have assembled bicycles.
In that case we would not have to add the 1-piece wheel bike to this inventory.
But we can add the parts, alternate wheels and counterpart bikes to the 2011
set.
Without a 2011 set in the catalog, the inventory would become very complex, with
assembled and unassembled bikes.
I thought 1-piece bikes always came unassembled (not sure though), and TLG might
have packed the leftover 2-piece bikes unassembled as well at that time (2011-2012?)

is 106 + 130 minifig parts = 236 (bicycles as 1 part assembly)
BL catalog has 2 box images:
The one with 235 pieces, ánd
the one with 202 pieces (should be moved to 9247-1?)
It looks to me that the small box is the oldest one, with the orange cones.
But it's an image of a used set.

I'm afraid all this makes it even worse. For it doesn't solve the bicycle
issue.

But inventory of 9247-1 was confirmed with 100 parts and 31 minifigures, makes
231 pcs? No images, so which box was opened?
Maybe as one year before the set release, on 2004, the minifig head and body
came assembled and counted as one part, even if they came separated in the final
round maybe the box count was done as the year before. But it would make it 200
pieces, so close but not a match... I tried.

The one with 235 pieces, ánd
the one with 202 pieces (should be moved to 9247-1?)
It looks to me that the small box is the oldest one, with the orange cones.
But it's an image of a used set.
Can't find contents images of the 202 pieces box anywhere.
I'm afraid all this makes it even worse. For it doesn't solve the bicycle
issue.
Rectification, I meant
If indeed it is, we might add a 2011 release to the catalog, because the box
is also different?
It would fit the following set with unassembled bikes
But inventory of 9247-1 was confirmed with 100 parts and 31 minifigures, makes
231 pcs? No images, so which box was opened?
Maybe as one year before the set release, on 2004, the minifig head and body
came assembled and counted as one part, even if they came separated in the final
round maybe the box count was done as the year before. But it would make it 200
pieces, so close but not a match... I tried.
I probably counted the flippers as 2 in the 2006 version , but it has to be 1.
So:
9247-1 100 + 131 minifig parts = 231 (-/- 31 = 200 assembled torso/head)
9247-2 106 + 129 minifig parts = 235 (matches qty on box)
It is close, so could be. Maybe 2 parts were overlooked.
Could 9247-2 and 9247-3 be easily distinguished from the box?
is 106 + 130 minifig parts = 236 (bicycles as 1 part assembly)
BL catalog has 2 box images:

And to summarize this, in set 9247-2 you found (this time and/or last year)
*
4719c02 (Inv) Bicycle with Handlebars with Trans-Clear Wheels with Molded Black Hard Rubber Tires (4719 / 92851pb01) Parts: Riding Cycle
not assembled and
*
4719c01 (Inv) Bicycle with Handlebars with Trans-Clear Wheels and Black Tires (4719 / 4720 / 2807) Parts: Riding Cycle
assembled, yes?
And also 4719c02 assembled?
Sorry, I got busy!
9247-2 last time I opened them had assembled 2 piece wheels only
this time it was both 1 and 2 piece wheels not assembled. I have never seen
a set with the 1 piece wheels be assembled.
Code on the seals are all 30O0
Adding these pictures of the boxes. I looked everywhere in case I had opening
pictures of the last few times I cracked these but could not find any.

I also found an image of thís box without part count.
Was thinking maybe TLG removed the part count on the old box, after they didn't
assemble minifig torso's with heads anymore.
And did the same with this box, when bicycles were not assembled anymore.
Unfortunately you still show boxes with 235 parts
Btw, the smaller box in the image I added earlier, turns out to be the back of
the 2005 box.
