My shipment seems to have been lost in the US mail. According to the tracking
number I was given up, it got lost somewhere in St. Louis, Missouri over 3 weeks
ago. I have tried twice to contact the seller, both through Bricklink and PayPal
and have gotten no response. What should I do next?

USPS has a missing mail page. Search for it, fill in the details, and see what
they say.

I tried this about a week ago..I called them, put in a missing package alert,
and actually got a return call from my local Post Office that it is most likely
lost in St. Louis.

Yes, that is what I did yesterday. It would have been nice to have some follow-up
from the Bricklink store I dealt with.

You can file an NSS as well - I know it stands for "Non-shipping Seller" but
it's also used to get the seller's attention for when something doesn't
arrive.

Do you know how the package was shipped?
As a seller I shipped out a big package at the beginning of March and to save
money we agreed on Parcel Select. After about 2 weeks it still was not delivered
and the tracking number only said it was created, so it was not being scanned
by USPS. I went to the local branch and they told me they were telling customer
they are seeing delays up to 6 weeks for this service. I asked the buyer to be
patient but also assured a refund would be sent if it did not show. Another two
weeks later and we assumed it was lost, I refunded but politely asked that if
by some chance if did arrive to either refuse and return to sender or to resubmit
payment. At the end of April I got and unexpected email from the buyer that it
finally arrived. Keep in mind the tracking info for this package never changed,
it still said label created.
All this to say it is possible it will show up eventually but in this case we
kept up communication.
Communication is key and I don't understand sellers who don't ever respond.
Since there is no communication from your seller I think you did right in filing
a PayPal claim.
I will also add that my buyer did right in telling me it arrived and then sent
a repayment so maybe keep that in mind or let them know you are willing to do
that.

The tracking shows that it was dropped off at a local Post Office in Missouri
before it next reached St. Louis where it has gone MIA. I too have had tracked
packages I’ve sent disappear off the PO radar and then show up a few days later
at its correct destination. I think that after 3 weeks I’ve been more than reasonable.

I agree and definitely do the Paypal claim and the NSS on Bricklink.

I shipped something this week and it has made it through St Louis Mo with no
problems so I suspect USPS lost your package . At the very least, the seller
should respond to you about this.
