Hi folks,

I've just reopened my store after a few months off. When printing my first
shipping label from Paypal I cannot get the scale right to fit the 4x6 labels.
It works fine on another platform (Royal Mail) and it was working fine before
I closed in May this year.

Has something changed? Anyone else found this to be a problem?

Printing directly from Paypal is the quickest method so I'd prefer to keep
doing it this way. With Royal mail I have to input the buyers details manually.

I don't think it does. I used to you have the force Instant Checkout enabled
but would get messages from zero feedback buyers saying they couldn't checkout
because one of the items in their cart didn't qualify for instant checkout.

Yes, this is what previously happened, I would get a message from a new buyer
telling me they would like to buy the set and I could temporarily lift the restriction
if I deemed them a genuine buyer.

Even though my store management settings is set to "Show only Instant Checkout
methods to new buyers", I'm finding some zero feedback buyers are able to
buy from me and then never pay after I invoice them! I had to wait the obligatory
2 weeks to recover a high value set back into my store last month and completed
a NPB and now I suspect I have another.

Is anyone else experiencing this, is the setting broken?

Happening to me too, I'm getting fed up of it and it must be putting buyers
off as sales are slow.

I'm glad my store is only a hobby store, some sellers must be losing precious
income!

I'm going through the this situation at the moment, buyer placed an order
for 650 parts and didn't respond to 1st invoice. He then added another 900
parts 3 days later and it's now been 4 days since the second batch. He has
not responded to a second invoice. I didn't pick out the 2nd batch as I had
a feeling it might be a waste of time and marked the order as packed to prevent
more being added. Now I am struggling to keep on top of my inventory as I like
to check I have the correct amounts left as I pick orders.

Now I know there may be a good reason he might not have paid but, as he already
has one negative feedback out of 18 as a buyer my gut feeling is this is a problem
buyer. If I cancel the order at this point to get these 1550 parts back in my
store I am then open to negative feedback. I cannot file a NPB for another 3
days and then wait another week, maybe more before I can recover these parts.

We should be able to cancel an order after 3 days without the risk of negative
feedback.

It would be really helpful if the 'sales' posts in the marketplace discussion
page had a stores country flag icon next to the username. To be able to see at
a glance would save us having to click on each post to find out. Personally I
tend not to buy outside the EU because of shipping costs and taxes.

I think it would be helpful to have a flag of the sellers country next to the
username on the Marketplace sales forum. It would save those of us that don't
want to buy from overseas having to open every sales post to see where the seller
is located.

In Suggestions, yorbrick writes:
I prefer the route of buyers should show common sense.

Education of buyers is much better fraud prevention than trying to remove scammers.
For every hurdle there is a way around it.

I've already suggested that Bricklink put a 'safe buying guide' on
the login page but that got shot down and ignored as well. I'm guessing that
the mention of scammers has very negative conitations for the site and off putting
for potential new members.

That's.... Actually a good idea. It would have to be a minimum of five reports
within say one week before it gets shut down (and it resets every week). Otherwise
sellers or members who don't like each other would just spam each others
stores with reports and keep them closed.

I would suggest that once a store has been checked out by the bricklnk admin
it should be exempt from further automatic suspensions to prevent rival stores
starting a war. And only apply to zero feedback stores.

I know bricklink admin investigate suspect scam report but it can take time to
get round to it and by then a number of people may have fallen foul of the dirty
little theives.

How about giving some power to the community who are collectively online 24 hours
a day across the globe and spotting these immediately.

Three seperate suspect scam reports from seperate members and the store is automaticaly
suspended until admin have time to check it out. The rule could be a report has
to come from established users with a minimum positive feeback score.

Say for example, when you have over 100 feedback you are allowed access to a
'scam
report' button. I'm sure a simple programme could be installed to facilitate
this.

How about some safe buying advice on the loging page warning buyers of common
scams? I.E, brand new store with a massive inventory, lots of orders with no
feedback, prices too good to be true on rare, valuable and sought after items.
