| I'm hoping another seller that has faced this issue can point me in the right
direction. I have a buyer seeing "the seller can't ship to you with
any of the shipping methods available" (first image). I asked another seller
to see if they could get to checkout and it worked fine (second image). My
shipping method for Hold/Manual Invoice does not have any geographic restrictions
(third/fourth/fifth image).
So I'm stumped why this buyer is getting this message. Any suggestions?

Sticker sheet packing dimensions have only been added since packing dimensions

still a _lot_ of sticker sheets that do not have packing dimensions, so any that

Yes it is the brick in the lower left corner. So it was a clearing of old stock?
And stock of old and newer times have been mixed, since the set also contained

I think Peregrinator meant that BL subcontracted the whole tax rigmarole to a
partner.
I’m not sure how it works, to which level the partner handles things, if it’s
just some kind of API (checks address and says “that’s so much (% or amount),
it’s VAT/Sales tax, that should go to tax service X…”) or if they also collect
and remitt the taxes for BL.

No, the seller never touches the tax money, during the payment it gets sent to
bricklink right away.
All the seller needs to do is print out the tax receipt on the order and put
it on the package and digitally include the tax number bricklink providers when
they buy the shipping label. If they do those 2 things (just like they have to
do to many other countries) you won’t get double charged (aside from rare accidents)
|
I doubt BrickLink ever touches the money
|
I'm sure they do. Just like us, VAT sellers.
You receive the money (by PayPal/Stripe on a specific account or with a specific
description "Partner thingy", then BL declare and pays the amount owed
maybe every 3 months, to each Country or to their Country which splits (like
how OSS works).
In short, I don't think possible BL pays say 30 cents for a small order to
say Norway, but instead every 3 months will send a SEPA payment of ex. 10,000€.

I doubt BrickLink ever touches the money, I think whatever 3rd party vendor they
use collects it and remits it. Still, that doesn't change that BL is probably
responsible for refunding if VAT is charged 2x. I say "probably" as I
don't know if there's anything specific to Norway as opposed to EU.

Now, it failed.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information about what to do in such case.
I understood that BL is collecting norwegian VAT, therefore I personally find
it logically that BL should be responsible if something went wrong here.
Or is it that the seller gets the money, including norwegian VAT, and BL charges
him afterwards? In that case, I am maybe totally wrong and beg for pardon. But
this is something that you, as a seller, have to tell me.
However, it should be neither be mandatory for the seller to print out the propper
custom forms before beeing able to proceed to the next step (e.g. setting orderstatus
to packed), or possible for the buyer to choose between VAT beeing collected
during check-out or by local postal service.
Paying twice means 50% taxes + postals fees. This is, by no means, a good solution
(except for your tax-office).
Sending mail to each seller before ordering could be some sort of life-hack here,
but still is not the intention of the newly implemented feature, I guess.
So I like to specifie my question. Who is responsible (hwo got the money?), Seller
or BL?
BTW: There is no doubt for me that the seller did not provide propper documents.
But BL is the Marketplace that offers the service. In a similar case, it was
a well known online auction platform the refounded VAT to me, since seller did
not provide propper VOEC documents.

I and many others here, have experience the "Double VAT" transaction
episode, both as seller and buyer. You are not unique nor somehow special in
this matter. So...
answer the question: did you get the response needed from BL, that lead you to
reengage in transacting abroad?

As you're now ordering from abroad?
“I stopped ordering anything via BL two weeks ago, was hoping for more clarification

you seemed apprised of “unique regulations in Norway regarding the IOSS System,

can import the LDraw .dat file.
Unless you’re talking about using an LDD/LXF file with that dolphin. That would
mean you need LDD to make that file first.
And then:
1. I still don’t see how LeoCAD could import it if there’s no LDraw file for
it on your system first.
2. Studio can also import LDD files and has some of Digital Bricks’ files to
do that even when the parts aren’t in its Main palette (but not that dolphin).
Sounds like a mathematician’s solution:
Problem 1: You a match, a pot. How do you make boiled water?
Solution 1: You find wood. You arrange the wood to make a fire. You light it.
You find a source of water. You fill the pot with water. You put the pot on
the fire. You wait.
Problem 2: You have a fire, a match, a pot full of water. How do you make boiled
water?
Solution 2: You empty the pot on the fire. You’re now in the same situtation
as problem 1.

I imagine the reason for less mail is that people don't need it these days.
Email is instant (almost) and free (almost) and much more convenient. Even if
they kept the price of a stamp the same, or reduced it, I doubt that many
people would go back to sending letters in anything like the volumes they did
20 years ago.
Parcels is where the business is these days, which is why RM need to remain competitive
with the couriers, both for price and service.
The universal service imposed on the RM, delivering to people in remote areas
for the same cost, is also to blame.

Sorry for the joke.
I don't think it can be refunded.
It's not BrickLink fault, it's either the seller who didn't transmitted
the proper info, or your Taxes who didn't account them
I'd ask to your local taxes/customs/posts.
Otherwise, very sorry, but IMHO rule n°1 is NEVER pay twice, simply refuse the

I mean; until BrickLink does what it's supposed to do in this case (refund)
but there would be conditions also, etc. And for now I've not read they would

Hi,
First, the usual note: the dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner
is https://forum.bricklink.com/ (hover over the red Studio icon on every page,
then click “Studio Forum”).
Please search the forum for your question before posting a new one (the search
box is in the very dark grey banner).
There’s indexes of known bugs and suggestions that you can browse first:
Studio: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5579
PartDesigner: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5589
There’s a subforum, aptly named “Studio Parts,” to ask for parts: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewforum.php?f=6
And there’s a nice “I can’t find this part” FAQ https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6368
Then, there’s a 3D model on digital-bricks.de, a raw conversion from LDD,

I'd say it may much depend the question also?
Like "I'd like my Wanted Lists to be sorted by Color then Qty" may
not be on their priority to reply to...
At the contrary, if it's something vital for your Shop, often (always?) Russell
reads the forum and quickly unlocks such problems.
This said - I agree I don't know why we don't have a 24/48 hrs and 24/365

But there's also the fact we'd need a Notification system, because Message

I've been waiting for over 2 months now, but nothing happens.
The big problem with the new helpdesk is that you don't get any confirmation
of receipt by email. There is no ticket number. You can't upload any documents.
It seems as if everyone has gone underground. Is there still a Bricklink admin
who takes care of the requests?

I'm in the same situation. No ticket, no confirmation...
TLC is hyperconcerned about its public image, so since TLC now owns Bricklink
you'd think they would do something to change that.

Its never good to price to 6 month average.
Take instructions for example. Quantity sold per year is minuscule in comparison
to available for sale. That one which did sell was probably tacked on to another
order which already had shipping covered. So, actual price of the book was less
significant. If you sell them for a penny, or a few dollars your sales will
probably be the same.
Consider basic bricks. The average price includes bulk buys between people wanting
a lot of that item and the sellers with a lot on hand. Those people get a low
price for the simplicity of 100 qty increments. You have 6 of that item and
your buyer is considering 3 for a MOC. They know they can get it cheaper if
they bought 100 but that other seller has a huge minimum order. A few pennies
per unit extra you charge isn’t significant.
There are other segments to consider. Minifigs sell differently. Unusual colours
and items.
[Very much enjoyed my visits to Riga, particularly the KGB museum. Hope all
is going well].

Hi Patrick,
In the past this has caused issues where the patterns are not exactly mirror
images but have been added anyway.
It also doesn't look good on images where the logo on the studs are obviously
reversed.
Having said that in this case the stickers are an exact mirror image and the
logos are quite small in the image so not that noticeable.
So yes if it means getting it into the catalog then yes please go ahead and submit

Not a fun job, I usually just change the quantity wanted, or if I already have

“My Collection” isn’t linked to anything. (Well, except Studio: the parts section
can be used as a palette.)
You can use the “Apply Order” button to automatically change the Have fields
in a Wanted List with an order (open your Wanted List to see its items, the button
is on the top right)…
… but it has no memory: you can apply the same order multiple times and if you
have multiple WLs, it starts ‘full’ for each one / it doesn’t remember what was
‘used’ in one WL when you apply the same order to another one.
Sadly, we need to use third-party tools, like BrickStore (application) or Rebrickable
(website), to manage our own inventories.

I will check at work tomorrow, but I am fairly sure that these were initially
produced without LEGO logo and number. I know that this is the case for other
Ninjago headgears. Also some of them were initially produced in another plastic
quality, and looks and feels differently.
You most likely have sent a genuine LEGO part.

For the 30177 wrap, LEGO changed at some point from a material called ABS/PA
to a material called HV-ABS. They also changed the mould at the same time (or
around the same time) and the earlier does not have logo or number. When you
compare the old and the new wraps, the old looks dull and "fake" compared
to the new ones. I think this change were done around 2012-13 if I recall correctly.
I am not sure if it is the same with the 98133, but I think that is very likely,
and I think I have more data on it at work. Send me a message if I forget to
check tomorrow.

|
I have checked the 98133 that I have, and all have the logo and number, though
in very small print. These were produced from 2012; I think that at least some
of wraps that I checked were from early productions, so I think that they probably
have had the logo and number all along. I have not found any other information
that indicate that these were ever produced without logo and number, but it is
of course possible.

One more question, not related to price guide, does Black Pearl parts sells fasts?
Like this big black pieces which costs around 50 euros per piece, or it will
be waste of money and time to buy black pearl (have deal for 200 euros new, without
minifigs)

Rare and expensive parts are slow movers for me but they do move, you just have
to wait for the right buyer. Anyway, I priced my parts nearer to the sold average,
but I've raised before that the 6-month average seem to include sales from
earlier months.

|
| Hello, this is my first time posting to the inventories forum. I recently purchased
a used, incomplete copy of 7317 online (not Bricklink). This set is known for
having a revision where 4 of the instances of part 30585a were replaced with
part 30585b, with the longer connection point for the pneumatic tubes. The revision
also replaces a 2x4 brick with 2 2x2 inverted slopes.
The copy I purchased reflected this revision-- however, all 13 of
the tube joiners were the longer 30585b variant. As this "parts lot"
additionally included a complete 7314 the seller wasn't aware of, with the
rubber bands still in their original bag, as well as the instructions and box
for 7317, I'm inclined to believe this is a genuine variant from an extremely
casual, not very knowledgeable fan and clearly not someone who went to Bricklink
just to buy 9 more of the 30585b variant to swap in to the set for some reason.
I was wondering if anyone else had noticed the same with their copy, though I
understand given this was a used copy it may not meet Bricklink's requirements
to be cataloged as a third version of the set.

| There are a lot of MOCs of it online. If you're able to find the instructions
and/or part lists for one you like (you might have to ask the creators if they
have these things), you can come back to BL and add the parts to a wanted list,
which will then let you buy everything you need in a pretty easy, convenient
manner. Just know that the higher the piece count, the more you'll be spending
on shipping since you'll probably have to buy from multiple sellers.
