Unless that's a Clone Trooper Pilot sitting in the V-wing? Can't make
it out from the pic. If it is, klausunion's input is more correct

Here is a little thought experiment that I want to try with those in here who
are willing to participate. Lacking any clues to the actual context, what would
be your first assumption if someone you didn’t know and never met in real life
claimed to own all of the following. Note, the claim below applies to me and
it’s all true. I’ll reveal the context (with photos for proof) later.

I own…
1 Audi Automobile
3 Batmobiles
1 BMW Automobile
1 Bugatti Automobile
1 Buick Automobile
3 Chevrolet Automobiles (two of which are Corvettes)
2 Dodge Automobiles
2 Ferrari Automobiles
2 Ford Automobiles
3 Lamborghini Automobiles
1 Lotus Automobile
1 McLaren Automobile
1 Mercedez Benz Automobile
1 Mercury Automobile
1 Tucker Automobile

I also own…
1 Airbus A330
1 Airbus A350
1 Boeing 737
3 Boeing 747s (one of which is Air Force One)
1 Boeing 757
1 Boeing 767
1 Boeing 777

Which of these “context” options would be your first guess? What would be the
first thing that comes to mind? What would you assume?

Note of the options below, only one is true when applied to me. The rest are all false.

Obviously D (pics of such would be nice) Though "only one is true
when applied to me" Really? I'd wager that E holds true too

The context options are…
A: He is a multi-billionaire who owns a huge garage full of cars and a small
fleet of aircraft.
B: He ran an investment (Ponzi scheme) and derived his fortune by ripping off
investors.
C: He ripped off taxpayers by fraudulently getting a PPP loan from the government
and spending the money on himself instead of paying his employees.
D: He is an eclectic collector of diecast cars and desktop aircraft.
E: He's an imaginative dreamer.

Eleven years and today you hit it. What will your BrickLink profile look like
in another eleven, I wonder?

Used to really enjoy this type of milestone in others. Still do, apparently

A good thought, Jason.

But why I'm even bothering to solve the mystery, is it's very real impact
on how we've used our stockroom feature for years, by dumping undesired listings
into it after an order is received.

It's a disruption for sure, but not an overly worrisome one. I've been
able to stay on top of it when it does occur, by manually cleaning-up the stockroom
item-by-item, so far

Mhm, it can be troublesome, tho have you tried the auto delete 0 qty stockroom
items option after x amount of days? That might help fix it (unless like me you
keep certain select items in the stockroom when they are sold out for the purposes
of easier relisting)

Another good thought, and I briefly pondered that some time ago. But that too
would disrupt or limit our use of the stockroom feature, at least how we utilize
the feature.

Making lateral moves as you're suggesting, I've always supported in life.
But in this instance, I'd rather try and solve the problem. Like I said,
never had it occur to us over the years operating here. Just kinda like to know
what's up

Mhm it does seem to be “at random” that it occurs. Occasionally I have some parts
in the stock room but other times nothing (in regards to normal non-retained
items) tho for myself it may be in regards to my syncing service as that can
sometimes effect that

Seems a possibility, even plausible for those that are syncing services. We never
have, not inventory syncing services

Are the individual items all flagged as Retained?
Or just a few?
(with BrickStore you can see (and adjust) it as well)

And what are the setting on https://www.bricklink.com/invOptionsAdd.asp ?
Maybe the default setting there is set (and to yes).

First, thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts on this. Gonna give
them a proper read and consideration today. As to the settings on the page linked.

Yep.

Quick question, why?

What do you mean, she's clearly delineated why, to the hundred or so on her

Insightful... Thanks

But when you persevere, the joy and fun of the experience and time that you share

I suppose. But I can tell you've not "fought enemies" not in the

So be bad so you know what bad is?

Don't be reductionistic now. No need to "be bad" to be able to accept

I've had IRL stalkers several, dare I say many times and they usually
are people who doxed me online. No reason to not have an extra layer of "go
away" in use.

On ebay its common to share stoplists on discord and reddit to avoid problems
and scammers. Sellers often share stoplists and that advice has always worked
for me there, so I just carried on with it here. Heck, if I'm browsing feedback
and see a problem person, on the list they go.

There's too many sellers and buyers to really worry about it.

It resets just fine with "Store Inventory Successfully Updated" confirmation.
But in exiting the page, it reverts.

What's more, the problem seems to have come and gone over the last few months
since it started

  Hi All,
I have a question about stockrooms.

I know that parts are put in a stockroom when ordered, but it puts the remaining
also in a stockroom?
How can I prevent this, so that only the parts ordered are put in a stockroom
and the remaining will be active.

Thx in advance.

It doesn't put items into a stockroom when ordered, it removes them from
your inventory. If you have "retain" turned on and the count for a lot
goes to zero after an order, then it will go into a stockroom as there is no
point having a current item in your store with 0 qty.

That’s what I thought.
But if i go to my store and look for the part ordered where i know i have remaining
it won’t list them.
But if i go to my inventory it lists them all in a stockroom.
I don’t use the retain function.

Still an issue as of this morning for us too:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1460992

This is a relatively new issue. Never in all of our years, experienced it, iow.

Thought I'd wait for the site nightly reset as another suggested, but woke
up this morning to a lot of stockroom cleaning up to do

Thx for pointing me in the right direction, it was set on retain.
That still doesn't clarify why it puts items in stockroom that have not been sold.

Yeah, there's some type of glitch/es afoot for sure. As I've maintained:
It's never been an issue (for us anyway) previous to a couple of months ago.

I've narrowed down what's going on with our inventory in any case. It
seems the feature (shown below) selection resets, unbeknownst to us.

Gonna observe it going forward though...

Guess there's no need for further observation. It resets just fine with "Store
Inventory Successfully Updated" confirmation. But when I leave the page,
it reverts

point having a current item in your store with 0 qty.

That’s what I thought.
But if i go to my store and look for the part ordered where i know i have remaining
it won’t list them.
But if i go to my inventory it lists them all in a stockroom.
I don’t use the retain function.

Still an issue as of this morning for us too:

  Hi All,
I have a question about stockrooms.

Just to make more clear as it relates to your post; another stockroom issue
