I'm seeing a large variety of sellers, grading box conditions with numerical
numbers.

Is there a place where the list of what those numbers mean is defined ?

When I see 9.3/10, or 7/10, without a defined grade list, they are (essentially)
meaningless (or something the seller made up out of thin air).

As far as I know, it's a commonly used tool for grading collectables and
playing cards. It's rather arbitrary but at least the seller made an effort
to indicate condition.

I received an order for several minifigures sold as "new (Complete)".
The documentation says it should include all extras etc. […]

Minifigures should always be complete.  That means you should get the parts listed
in their inventories.

Handheld accessories are not in the inventories.

Also, if you’re talking about collectible minifigures, there’s two different
entries in the catalogue:
1. the set entry, with all the parts (tile, handhelp accessories, Extra parts)
and instructions and polybag or box,
2. an entry for the minifigure that says “minifigure only” in its title.
If you order the minifigure only, you only get the minifigure.

So, to be able to answer your questions, we need to know what “extras” you’re
talking about, what you’ve ordered (catalogue ID) and what you received.

It was the Set for a CMF. So it should have included 4 extras per. With 10
CMFs, thats 40 missing parts. A total of about $5 in value.

If it is a Complete Set, it must come with all Extras. If the seller won't
work with you, then it's time for a NSS.

6 Sets, 2024

It would be for the heaviest version found.

What about the lighter ones? Then the weight would be incorrect.

You could then use that logic for pretty much everything in the catalogue… it’s
best to over estimate the weight for shipping rather then underestimate. But
even so it isn’t going to be anything crazy

Ok, just found it strange that a item with weight varying from box to box could
have a weight attached to it.

It's not strange at all. It's very, very normal.

For example, most every set for North America is heavier than the sets distributed
elsewhere. The boxes and instructions use different paper. Depending on the size
of the set, it can easily be a difference of 10-20%.

This is what I had written in the description. "Comments: No hair, round

Do I understand correctly that the hair, round plate, and light saber were missing
from the minifig? If that's the case then I could see why it was removed
- 3-4 pieces out of a total of 7-8 were missing.

The main part is only one piece, so three of the four pieces of the figure were
missing. Once we have a chance to get the inventories for these figures into
the catalog, there will be no confusion over them.

Wel, the figures are only 19 years old.

Prior administrators would not let them be inventoried. The current team decided
to allow them to be inventoried later last year. All we are waiting for are good
images of the figures without all of the pieces that can come off easily. If
you would like to help with that, please do so.

I got 1 or 2 of them (I think obi wan (and maybe Anakin?)). If you need anything
specific please let me know

You've jogged my memory that I think we had a Mace Windu at some point. Oh
no... another scavenger hunt for a piece I haven't seen in 10 years. lol

One way round this is not to show the head stud from above in any images. That
way, no particular variant is shown. That is exactly what happens with, for example,
1x4 bricks. No undersides are shown, so any variant is allowable.

Yes. BrickLink should remove all the photo images and insets designed to specifically
show the variant. I mentioned this way back when this started, but... oh well.

Is there way way to see who?

Not if you are a seller yourself - if you're only a buyer then you can see
(apparently).

As only a buyer, I was surprised by this. I've never purchased anything form
these two stores and every feedback I have ever given has been professional and
positive (from what I remember).

Also, the exact same text from 2 stores - really?

Meh, i aint losing sleep over it - others will get my money

Unless im seeing something wrong that is the list of people YOU stop listed not
that have stop listed you

  Hi folks.

I've asked BL Help twice and got no reply. I can find no way to add or remove
countries from the "countries I ship to" list, I can't even find
the list. It used to be easy to do, but now even though I've gone through
every submenu in the Store Settings I can't find it.

Also, Store Settings says I ship to the USA (I'm in Australia), which is
what it was set to before the changes were made. But for some reason when people
in the US try to buy stuff from me they are blocked because I don't ship
to them.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Roger.

I'd like help with this too, we do Request For Invoice, not the Onsite Instant
Payment method as we find it easier for working out different shipping prices.

I need to add a country to my 'countries I ship to' and cannot fathom
how to do it. Why are Bricklink making things so hard?

Because when they updated the site to allow for Instant Checkout, things got
WAY more complicated. And, they've never gone back to fix what got messed
up when they did.

What you are looking for is now in your individual shipping methods. You need
to add the country to each method you want available for them.

Good luck,
~Jen

Yes, this is the new reality that this particular variant change has forced on
all of us.

But, this could also happen with any part that has variations that the BL catalog
doesn't recognize. It happens all the time with buyers declaring older parts
without LEGO logos are fake. It happens when buyers can't tell that an image
is showing a front and back view and expects to get 2 parts. It happens when
a buyer expects accessories on a minifig that clearly aren't pictured or
listed.

We can't always meet buyer's expectations when they don't know or
understand the system. All you can do it explain how things work on BrickLink,
point them to any relevant resources in Help or on the Forum, and then hope for
the best.

Bricklink policies outline that a seller is responsible for a package until the
customer recieves it. Perhaps one of the more experienced sellers can read into
that and define it better.

I do not believe that BrickLink has any policies for sellers in this regard.
What we do have are Paypal policies and general good online sense. If you buy
something from someone online and don't receive it, that shouldn't be
on you as the buyer.

Is that in writing somewhere?

What is missing from yours? It seems like a complete one is valuable enough
to be worth completing, unless it is missing a piece that isn't in the catalog.

If we’re to adhere to the "catalog" as you espouse, the reality that
is “Can not be inventoried” by extension has no place in this discussion, I suppose

Not keeping up here, my friend...

Try pulling back to see matters more wide angle and not try and argue conclusions
you've irrationally already made. In short, have discussions not to bolster
what you think that you know, but rather what you might add to your knowing

Did you reply to the person you intended to?

This sale has since been canceled with PayPal, but I can't find a way to

I contacted bricklink on their email address twice about this and got no response,
my account will be blocked in 2 days if I don't pay the fees by then.
Thanks in advance for any help on the subject.

Why can't you cancel it? Did you go through the normal Problem Center process?

Would love for Russell to chime in on this.

I would figure that your average employee at BrickLink who processes this stuff
doesn't have the institutional knowledge to make these kind of distinctions.

I had figure SW0121 removed from my listings. The reason given was "Reason:
Item is incorrectly defined as New/Used or Complete/Incomplete/Sealed". But
I had the figure marked as "used" and mentioned the parts that were missing
on the figure. I realize you can't sell incomplete figures but this figure
is not inventoried so there is no way to sell individual pieces from this figure.
There are also numerous amounts of this figure listed on Bricklink with missing
parts, broken parts, or with colored parts swapped out for different colors.
So why would mine be removed if there is no way to list it on Bricklink besides
custom. Especially when all these other figures are allowed to stay.

I can understand how this is annoying and frustrating for a seller to deal with.
It is my understanding that listings like this are only flagged when a member
fills out a form and sends in the info. If I am wrong about this, please correct
me. So yours was likely singled out because someone, well, singled you out.

Also, BrickLink seems to think that using Custom listings is a viable alternative
for anything and everything that doesn't fit the guidelines (rules.) Because
of the difficulty finding such listings via our Search, it's not obviously,
but it's all that we've got!

It is our normal job to check things before they get approved, so I have marked
this request as "Already Exists".

So what you´re saying is that ordinary Bricklinkers shouldn´t bother and higtlight

No, they are saying that there is already a system in place to catch errors in
Pending Items. I could go through the Approval Log right now and find 100 things
to correct, but I am not the submitter, so I have no access. Posting every one
of them here would be an ineffective use of the system.

The job of ordinary BrickLinkers is to submit reports for anything that does
