| Hi BrickLink!
Following and having read tens of posts about this, with no clear reply...
One of our Shipping method (La Poste Delivengo) requires an EORI number to
ship to UK.
This isn't the VAT-ID you provide in your "Your LEGO® BrickLink VAT invoice
UKxxxxx" PDF.
The VAT-ID is as GB+9 numbers, while EORI is GB+12/15 numbers.
I tested it here, and it's not valid as an EORI:
https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/check-eori-number
While SylvainLS wrote in Forum:
"EORI is for sellers who sell to EU on their own, not through a marketplace
like BL."
... maybe, but how La Poste would see it's BrickLink who takes care of the
VAT if I don't give them BrickLink's EORI number?
In short - please provide the EORI number in those documents, or/and in Help,
or even as a PM
For maybe a year it's mandatory I lose 5 to 10€ for each shipping
as I've to use a more expensive Shipping Method (La Poste Colissimo International)
instead, which doesn't - for now - requests specifically an EORI number.
Theorically it's required for any Shipping Method:

Thank you!

| I only ask this as the original Ghostbusters minifigs had their ID’s switched
from idea to gb (seems a sensible approach) but then why not the same for various
other minifigs where dedicated Theme I.D’s already exist such as TV Friends,
Back to the Future, Lord of the Rings and even basic themes like castle and pirates.
Drives me crazy not having them located under the same I.D format

Author: | WOLKsite | Posted: | Sep 17, 2023 18:24 | Subject: | Inaccuracies with the BIONICLE mask packs | Viewed: | 79 times | Topic: | Catalog | Status: | Open
| Hello, this has been bothering me for a while now, but several of the mask packs
listed either do not exist at all, or are listed with the wrong region.
For starters, the US/non-US distinction -- having spoken with several Canadian
BIONICLE fans about these, Canada had the boxed versions as well. Additionally,
LEGO's naming scheme uses the distinguishment of "IN" and "AM",
rather than "NA" or "US", which leads me to believe that they
were available in both South and North America.
Considering that Connecticut became HQ for LEGO's activities in all of America
around 1998, this also tracks: https://www.lego.com/en-gb/history/articles/g-production-in-brazil/
Further-more, I have found no evidence of 8530, 8559, 8597, or 8600 existing
in boxed form. Just Google them, there are no photos of them - because they do
not exist.
To go through each set one-by-one:

| Bij het opstarten duurt het soms meerdere minuten voordat de database van Studio
geladen is.
Mijn pc: HP 500-304nd - Intel Core i3-4150 CPU @3.50 GHz - 16 GB RAM - 64 bits
- Windows 8.1

| Hi, Im trying to check out on a store and I have been given the error 'Order
Restrictions Not Met' and "Your order does not meet shipping method's
order restriction.".
The order will weigh upwards of 650 Grams and the shipping method is 'DHL
Parcel up to 10kg only GB' so there's nothing wrong there unless its
the dimensions of the boxes.
The store says (at the top between 'Avg Lot Value' and 'Lot Limit'
) minimum order amount is 25Euros and my order is worth 50Euros. But on the cart
page before you proceed to checkout the box says 165Euro order minimum.
Is this a bug in the store I need to tell the owner about? He's German and
I don't think he knows much English I don't want to bother him over a
small order. If anyone has come across this issue before please let me know how
to get around it if there is a way. Thank you

Author: | StickyBrickit | Posted: | Dec 3, 2021 09:12 | Subject: | Selling whole business - realistic price? | Viewed: | 164 times | Topic: | Announce
| I currently have about £10k (resale) of various minifigures, about £2k on Bricklink
and £8k other places (eBay etc). I've toyed with the idea of just selling
the whole business to someone who could pick it up and run with it, or integrate
the stock into their own. I'm not desperate to sell but have wondered what
a likely realistic price would be.
All the figures are identified, most are new, lots of various themes (CMF, Star
Wars, Marvel DC, Simpsons, Team GB etc), good variety of figures. There is a
storage system with everything labelled, stored away etc.
Just wondering if anyone has sold bulk lots that are already part of a functioning
business? In my mind it seems realistic to get 50% of the resale value....I'm
sure we'd all like more but realistically people need to hold the stock until
it sells, make a reasonable profit, take the risk it won't sell etc, so would
£5k for £10k worth of minifigures be realistic?
If someone offered it to you, what sort of price range would get you interested?

Author: | Sanderv19v | Posted: | Jul 14, 2021 09:19 | Subject: | Stud.io keeps crashing and freezing. | Viewed: | 24 times | Topic: | Technical Issues
| Hello,
I build my projects in stud.io and they tend to get quite big (10.000 pieces).
But every time I build a bigger project the program becomes unbearable and unusable.
The program freezes after every brick I put in and has a full crash every half
an hour. If I don't save my project I lose it all, because the recovering
function or autosave doesn't work at all.
The recover function get stuck on ''Parsing a File'' but I hope
never to need to use this function every 20min.
I have a good pc: 1660Ti + 6GB, 28 GB of Ram, i7-7800K and 2 TB free storage.
I tried to reinstall the program but the program still had the same problems.
I searched the Internet for solutions but all of them ended with a link to the
help forum main page. Can you please help me (And pls don't send me a
link to nowhere).
Kind regards,
Sander van Gent

| I had to ship a small sticker to the GB.
To do this, I need to make a adress sticker in the PostNL sysyem, indicating
the value.
And I got an invoice from Bricklink to attach ON the shipment. On this invoice
the payment of the Britsch VAT is indicated.
PostNL has plastic envelopes to attach invoices to the shipment, These have a
A4 format.
So I have to use a 80 gram A4 box or very large envelope, and even then I can't
attach both the sticker and the invoice on one side. This meanspostage is 4x
what normally should have been.
I hope customs understand the combination of the value indication on the adress
label and the attached document that VAT has been paid.
I wonder if this all goes smoothly and if there are cases of double taxation.

| Looking for views on collectable minifigures.
I have a large number of these, estimated at 1000+ in new condition, plus others
in used.
These are from nearly all series so far including series 1 unopened and opened
Team GB.
Just accumulating them at present.
Too many to check individually on the sales info, certainly at the moment for
me due to relocation.
Do these still sell well ?
May start listing some when I reopen in 2022.

Author: | infinibrix | Posted: | Jun 13, 2020 12:39 | Subject: | Minifigures being given incorrect codes? | Viewed: | 103 times | Topic: | Catalog | Status: | Open
| I don't know if its just me but with regards to the ideas and dimensions
themes would'nt it make sense to only give minifigures the 'idea'
and 'dim' codes if they don't already belong to an established and
existing theme? For instance all the Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay minifigs
should perhaps be given 'pi' numbers instead of 'idea' numbers?
Likewise dimensions Gimli, Gandalf, Legolas should maybe have a 'lor'
number instead of 'dim' same goes for Slimer and Stay Puft Marshmallow
man which also have 'dim' numbers instead of 'gb'
With the original ghostbusters minifigs from Ecto-1 it looks like they were already
changed from 'idea' numbers to 'gb' numbers with an i on the
end which might be a good way to keep some continuity on the site?

Is there a reason this keeps getting changed?
This set was originally listed as Actor, it was then changed to Thespian. I asked
for the Actor name to be reinstated, which it was, and then it was removed again.
The minifigure version has both names:
Why can the set not keep both names?
And on their webpages, LEGO refer to it as ACTOR. If it can have only one name,
then surely it should be the LEGO one.
