| Please make changes to the following inventory:
* Change 4 Part Blue {60800 Window 1 x 2 x 3 Shutter with Hinges to 60800a Window 1 x 2 x 3 Shutter with Hinges and Handle}
Comments from Submitter:
Submitting this as a change and not as an alternate because 60800a was only added to the catalog long after this set was inventoried and also after accuracy was confirmed. This means that at the time it was not possible to inventory the set with this variant.
There is no small image for 60800 in blue which means that it is likely that it doesn't exist in blue. Presence of 60800a in this set is confirmed by checking the set in my personal collection.

| Voted absolutely YES please!
There are many times when I want to go back and reference a buyers order from
that long past. They won't clutter your orders placed/ received because when
you check the "file" checkbox, they should automatically stay there at least
a year. Isn't that what the file section is for? I know you can download
other ways offsite, but that is just very inconvenient. I truly hope this is
one suggestion the admins listen to and implement.

Agreed 100%. This policy is just weird. As a software developer, I would guess
it would be cheaper in the long run to just remove this "feature", rather than
having to maintain the logic needed to perform this purging.

| A checkout process where the buyer pays as they check out, will solve this issue.
It will solve lots of issues.
Once all (or most) sellers are using a checkout process, where payment is collected
during the checkout process, I suspect that a large percent of the issues discussed
in this forum will become non issues.

No, really - If you want to push NPB up to four days, I can live with that -
I usually pay within hours or minutes after getting an invoice - just push up
NSS to four days, too; maybe add one day for each multiple of "X" lots rounded
down.
|
And cut down NRS to a shorter time. And especially the time to complete the NRS.
I once had a seller who did not invoice me, did not reply to emails and Bricklink
messages. I had to wait a week to start the NRS and two more weeks to complete
it. So basically buyers have to wait three weeks before they can order those
items from another seller or run the risk of the seller showing up on that last
day and expecting the buyer to still honor the first order.

We totally agree we try to ship as fast as we can and have a clean page
At the end of the week we always have 3 to 4 orders not paid
Really makes it frustrating and you spend a lot of time looking up payments 3
or 4 times a day
Then we pay shippers to help pack and then no payment and now you are out money
and time.
Honestly i think buyers should check out after order is placed and then we can
get right on shipping the packages
unless you have arrangements with the buyer
great point matthew

Your response is kind of funny littlefigs as you are so notorious for slow shipping.
If it is OK for you to take 10 to 14 days to ship - I guess waiting 7 days for
payment shouldn’t be such a problem for you.
|
Well, that’s funny Heidi we are shipping 1-2 days for the past year now! You
bought from us 14 times! I see no reason for snarky comments or starting issues
with anyone this is an open forum about non payment not our shipping times or
our policies. Maybe should should check your facts before saying anything regarding
our shipping times. Lets try and stay on topic thanks!JENNA

Oh, whatever... If I placed 14 orders (if I really did - you stop listed so
I don't know how to figure out if I really did) I only left 8 feedbacks.
Sorry, if I overstated my positive feedback to try to give you an "at-a-boy"
for not being as bad as you were with my earlier order(s?). You have had a
bad record and I wanted you to be rewarded for getting better. I still think
that you might not be the right person to criticize others.
I agree that waiting 7 days for payment is inconvenient for the seller. It happens
to me occasionally but I do get paid 99.99% of the time. Being patient is a
very good karma and pays back multiple times. My question was why you take such
an affront to this, given that you have been in a place that you couldn’t get
an order out in 10 to 14 days.
So, whatever………….

| Well, your reputation doesn't exactly shed you in a great light, nor does
your vindictive FB behavior. Besides, dropping below 99% on this site is dang
near impossible. I think much of your problems could have been avoided, if you
didn't request payments weeks prior to shipping. Nor should positive FB
for fixing issues be expected, especially with long delays in doing so. For
some reason there's a large group of sellers that feel they are entitled
to positive FB for all transactions, regardless of the extra hassle for the buyer.
Instead of learning from mistakes the reaction is to hurt someone back. The
desire to hurt someone should not be a natural reaction. This leads people down
the path of anger, hatred and ill will for mankind. Nothing positive can come
from it.
For me, anytime I hurt someone* it makes me feel like crap and I have to reevaluate
my choices.
*not physically (I don't do that), but sometimes I say or write things that
are unbecoming.

I realize there a different ways to handle non-paying non-communicating buyers,
but I for one prefer and appreciate the NPB process -- it helps me, and it
helps our community.
I just don't get why I have to wait a week to start it, on behalf of impolite
people.
Recommend changing the post-invoice pre-NPB wait period to three days, or four
at most.
Thanks for anyone's time, Matthew

* Add 2 Part 18866 White Clam, Type 2 Locking Edge on Inner Lip (Alternate) (match ID 8)
* Change 2 Part White 30218 Clam Type 1 Continuous Scalloped Inner Lip (Note: Description has changed. Sellers should check inventory, buyers should ask sellers if lip type {match ID 0 to 8}
Comments from Submitter:
I checked quantities of both types in my store inventory and quantity sold since I parted out these sets. I parted out 8 of these sets recently. Since then I sold 3 clams and have 9 of the old variant left in my store inventory. That means that at least some of those sets had the new variant.

A lot of times I am browsing the message topics and see a forum post for a sale

Most of the time it's a store that does not ship to my country, or a free
shipping offer that is only domestic. It would be helpful if a flag indicating
the country of the poster showed up. It would save time when viewing forum posts
like these to know that these deals are not available to me.
It would be even more helpful if the poster was a seller, and it showed the symbol
that Seller ships to me... but that might be asking too much...
This should only really apply to the Sales Topic.... but it might be helpful
if it appeared in other topics as well, but I can't think of any other one
where this would apply...
|
I think it's better to add a filter setting for those forums. So if you only
want to see sales and offers in US you can use the same filter as if our looking
for a store.
That way I don't have to remember all flags and it's personal, you can
choose your style and don't need to filter away those with your eyes.

Frankly, now that we're talking about it, and when we discuss anything related

True; I have no problem with BL enforcing such a policy... but wouldn't that
require policing it, too? I think it would be easier for a technical solution
to put a little flag next to the post... then no one would forget or wonder why
they aren't getting hits from their sales announcements...

Good luck with that.
I even have the same issue with people on the Eurobricks buy/trade forum... unlike
BL, it's optional to fill in your location, so half the time you don't
even know where they're from even if you read the full message.
When a group gets large enough, you will never get everyone on the same page,
even to follow simple guidelines like "mention your country in sales subject
lines."

(and preferably from the stats at the top of the PG page altogether. If you are
looking for one, and you see the min price is $0.00. You can't actually get
it for free. Unless.......
The listing itself can still show up first on the list of items for sale. But
for those of us here in the US, we would see $5.53 as the min price. Not $0.00--if
superlots were removed from the top statistics)
Example:

Fourteen of the first 15 listings are super lots.

You can turn on a setting that adds an "(S)" to the price guide next to super
lots:

though that doesn't solve the problem complete. Voted yes.

the payment method is shown as "Paypal (onsite).
Now it isn't possible to mark this order as "paid" manuel - the paid-button
don't work.
Is it possible to change?

I think the seller should change your payment method from PayPal on site to Paypal
in the edit order page.

If I don't close the browser on the pc I can continue on my mobile.
The My Bricklink page reads: 1 store with items in cart.

| I forgot to add that the disadvantage to using the wanted list only is that prices
are not locked in unless the items are in your cart.
So you could use the wanted list workaround to recreate your cart on a new pc...
But if the prices change before you add to cart on another computer the cart
total will be different.

| It's currently per computer because the information is saved in a cookie.
The only workaround I've found is that instead of adding to cart I have another
tab with my wanted list open and add the items to my wanted list. Then when
I move to a different computer or tablet I go back to the store and list my wanted
list items. (You could create a new wanted list with the store name if you are
shopping multipe stores at once)
Keep in mind that adding to cart does not reserve the item, anyone else can buy
it before you click checkout.

For now, you can click on "My Inventory" and it will pull up all colors you have

A drop down in that area with links to individual colors in your stock would

Here is my suggestion: I think that the Buy button should instead say "View list
of Sellers" or shops. Then after clicking on that button the screen jumps to
the list of stores with a "Go Buy It" type of button.
Julie
|
This is one of those things I think is only confusing to those used to the old
way. I'm sure the idea is to have the "call to action" button highly visible
in a prominent spot. That is the "Buy" button. That takes you to a list of items
for sale, each of which you can "view" in individual shops. It makes sense to
me and I think a new user will easily see the logic.
|
That button should be highly visible, however I think it's mislabeled. The
"Buy" button does not let you buy (put in your cart and check out). It is simply
a short cut to view items lower on the same page.
The button that takes users to the place where they can actually put items in
their cart and checkout should say "Buy" (not view).
Julie
|
The new design incorporates the catalog and the items for sale. It is possible
just to keep the inventory tab or the color tab or the price guide tab open as
you browse the site and never see the items for sale. That button at the top
needs to be a "call to action" and the action we want is for someone to buy something
from one of the sellers who has that part. It needs to say "Buy" so it reinforces
what we want the buyer to do.
|
It should say "View Sellers". The buttons by the sellers should say "Buy".
|
This is commercial web design 101. No, the "buy" button does not go directly
to the page where you put things in your cart, but that's not its purpose.
Its purpose is to clearly mark the way to buy something in the clearest possible
way. Buy - View - Add to cart.
|
1st you view, they you buy, then you add to cart.
I'm talking solely about while on the catalog item page.
I guess we just don't see eye to eye

It serves the same purpose as the most-clicked link on the homepage, the one
that reads "Buy LEGO." This also does not take you directly to a page where you
can add something to your cart. In fact, it takes you nowhere near it: "Buy LEGO"
- [pick a category] - [pick another category] - [click through pages until you
see the item] - [click the item] - Go Buy It - Add to cart.
As the shopping pages are simplified and improved, the "Buy LEGO" path from the
homepage will also become easier and more clear.

Keep in mind that the bottom half of the page is now divided into tabs, and the
tabs are persistent - if you have the color information tab open on one catalog
page, then that is the tab that will open on the next catalog page you visit.
The Buy button then serves a dual purpose - it opens the Items for Sale tab and
scrolls to the top of the list.

We are currently working on a feature that will enable assemblies in the counterpart
section to be included in partout. The seller will be given a choice for each
assembly, and the indiviadual parts of the selected assemblies will be automatically
subtracted from partout.
This is not an easy feature to implement as can be imagined, as there are complications
arising from overlapping counterparts, mismatches between couterparts and the
regular section parts, variant parts, etc. But I'm pretty sure we will have
this functionality soon.
It's interesting you brought up the issue of stickereed counterparts, because
this was a question that came up during this development process. The problem
is that, unlike alternates, counterparts have no match ID, and they also have
no inventory to show which parts they replace. They do have an item number that
contains the the item number of the unstickered part, so maybe that could be
used. But then there are sticker over assembly situations.
It's not as straightforward as just including the parts as options to be
selected. Some may argue that we could leave it up to sellers to find and delete
the unstickered parts for any stickered parts they have selected, and I am sure
many would be capable of pulling this off without a mistake. But it would certainly
be a problem for some, and so for the same reason we do not allow unapproved
inventories to be parted out, we wouldn't allow people to manually deselect
parts related to stickered counterparts.
So, it may be an idea for the future, but we'll be glad enough if we can
handle the assemblies this time around.
Btw, voted YES.

I asked for this at least a year ago, possibly 2 years ago, and I was told that
it would have been too much hard work to do this....
I even put forward the same argument that you have...
Good luck!

Yea, I have the same problem. I would like to have a check box option to include
the stickered parts or the non-stickered ones. It would also be nice to pick
the "alternitive" pieces easlier (real pain when parting out an older 6211)
