and make bricklink much friendlier to new sellers.

| Hi, I have a Problem I have 2 adresses as I live on the border with Czech Republic
I use a Czech address for orders from Czech Republic and Slovak address for everything
else.
I wanted to add a second address so I don´t need to write it all the time in
comments but Looks like I can´t.
Why is it not possible to select a different Country when adding a different
address in the order checkout? Can you enable it please?

It reminds me of a part of a sketch by late comedian Coluche: “Well, we can’t
blame him. Him, he wasn’t driving too fast. He was driving on the right side
of the road. Well and he’s dead. Darn! The others had avoided us this far. You
get used to that. People know we drive drunk!”
There’s a feedback system to help BLers (both buyers and sellers) choose each
others. That system isn’t perfect but letting “drunk drivers” go because the
other drivers “should know how to avoid them” isn’t a solution (whoever, buyer
or seller, is the “drunk” one).
Anyway, considering how some sellers with lots of bad feedbacks continue to thrive,
I doubt buyers (especially new ones) will go to the next step and look at their
feedbacks/transactions ratio before walking away.
Besides, I read here (a bit too much) about sellers fearing or trying
to avoid negatives when cancelling at the buyer’s request. There’s not much talk
about actual occurrences….

I'm not clear what you are suggesting. Is it "Buyer is not allowed to leave
FB for canceled order" or "no party is allowed to leave FB" ?
The first is already covered by the NPB, but you raise a valid concern about
the time required to run the NPB. I have raised this concern many times before.
The second puts us into the funny zone of why can't the seller leave FB ?
If a buyer is abusing many sellers, then how will anyone know if FB is suppressed
?

| I too have concerns with feedback. Was degraded and abused by a buyer over the
cost of postage. He had the option of offering alternatives, cancelling the order
or accepting the order, he chose his own option and that was to abuse and rant
to me about how I was ripping him off....
I left a negative feedback because of his abuse, which I think was fair, after
all OH & S should mean that we are protected from customer abuse like any business
in the real world - are we not?
A month later he lies on a feedback and drags down my feedback rating.
Effectively he has gotten away with abuse of me and my staff because he was unhappy
with something, so like all bullies he knows that anytime he wants something,
he just threatens the seller with negative feedback and the seller has to suck
it in.
I was forced to remove the truth, to get rid of his lies. An order cancelled
is an order cancelled - we chose to sell or not - perhaps if there is no solution
then the feedback option should be removed on cancelled orders unless an alert
has been issued....
Or perhaps Admin needs to make an option to protect stores from bullies and terrorists
- hey they step into our lives in the real world, nothing is stopping them here
as well, after all why did one buyer get fifteen negatives and numerous NPA's?
Perhaps it is time that Admin was more proactive - it is well documented that
negative feedback can be destructive! And holding stores for ransom is nothing
but criminal, so therefore the only way to get the message out to other stores
is via the feedback system...or Admin stepping in and agreeing to protect stores
far more rapidly than I have currently seen.

You can always manually give them a discount by putting the discount amount in
the credits section of the order when you invoice it.

| I mentioned something about this a while back, but I'm sure there has been
no shortage of suggestions for admin since the update. I think you guys do a
really good job and overall I have been quite pleased with the update, and responses
to issues. However, I would like to pose the following fallacy for consideration.
Like many sellers, I sell items of all conditions including those with playwear
and marks. This often doesn't matter to the customer if the price is right,
and they are aware of the discrepancy, however, I have had several customers,
especially those new to Bricklink, inadvertently purchase items with playwear,
paintwear, etc. Even though I include a disclaimer for these items in my description
for each one, the customers can't see the description unless they take the
time to click on the item, which opens up the item in the seller's store
and shows the full description. Otherwise, if they are shopping through the
wanted list feature, all they see is the default picture and description for
the part provided by Bricklink, which is generally attractive and new looking.
Even if they are purchasing a used item with discrepancies this is what they
see. As you might imagine, it would be quite disappointing to receive parts
that have play marks unexpectedly.
I was wondering if there would be a way to make the discrepancy note appear on
the items without having to physically click on it and open it up, because that
is quite time consuming for the buyer if they are buying a lot of things, and
many buyers are apparently not aware that they would need to do so in order to
see if the piece has discrepancies. Or, perhaps, a heading could be provided
on used items to let the customer know that they should click on the item to
see if it has discrepancies.
In any case, the current situation also poses an unfair problem for the seller,
which could result in unhappy customers and negative feedback. Currently, if
a new customer places an order with me that includes pieces with discrepancies,
I send them an an email before I invoice them to make sure that they are aware
that they have purchased items with discrepancies. This is a bit of a hassle
for me, and often ends in a canceled order. I suppose that is better than negative
feedback, but it seems that there should be a more streamlined approach.
Thank you for your consideration on addressing this problem. If anything that
I have mentioned needs clarifying, or if I am missing something, please let me
know as I am more than happy to discuss further.

Below are a couple of box images. I think it is safe to say all hitches are open
after 1990, and probably even from the mid-eighties.

In my set (which has instructions and virtually all parts), 2 blue medium gears were suppplied and 2 large yellow. Although we've lost some of the bushings, all other part counts match up: 7 grey bricks with holes, 4 of each type of wheel, 6 small red gears, etc. So I'm pretty confident about this being an alternate production run -- similar to what I see for set 812-1.

Could very well be, especially if the set is from the Canadian market. Typically
all sets were boxed with Canadian-produced boxes and instructions, and the contents
sometimes were altered depending on what Samsonite had on hand.
Does your box have a piece count printed on it?

I hope I did this right -- I think the number of these counterparts just needs to match the number of the regular items, i.e., 4 small smooth dual tire sets, as shown in the instructions (2 at the rear of the first tanker, and 2 on the second tanker).

You are correct. Many wheeled counterparts were added en masse and sometimes
there were clerical mistakes like this that slipped through.

Hello,
It appears that the original part: 15457, and new alternate parts: 4716 and 15462,
were never shown to be used in the instructions. They were only ever used in
the additional instructions for 42026 + 42027 which were available online. As
such, I am changing all the parts in question to Extras.

There is no official set, that has part 2736 in black.
