| My Dark age WAS my childhood. I got a set from a happy meal, a small helicopter, and loved it! I asked my parents for lego christmas after christmas, but never got any.It wasn't that my parents couldn't afford it; my dad just said it was dumb. Once I was 26 and already married, I told my husband this, and he got me a small set of random bricks for christmas. It was a sweet gesture, but I really thought I'd just enjoy it for a moment and then get tired of it--except I didn't! I became enthralled over this activity that I felt occupied both the logical and creative parts of my brain at once. By this time, I have lost count of how many official sets and mocs I've done, and have absolutely no idea how many pieces I own.
