| | I was born in 1973, and got my first LEGO product in 1982, when I was 9. It was in my stocking at Christmas and it was space #6890- Cosmic Cruiser. Not much of a fan of that genre, I later got into city/town theme, buying (and still owning), the 1980's sets of: #1496, #1467, #1528, #1572, #6361, Fire #6385, Police #6386, Air #6392 & Truck #6393. Went on an almost 30 year hiatus and just got back into it in early August 2015, when I saw, then bought #10241 Maersk Triple E! I then put all of my above previous LEGO sets together (HAPPY memories) and found out I was missing pieces. I got to talking about LEGO at work with a co-worker & fellow AFOL builder/collector. He mentioned a website where you can find missing pieces and that was bricklink (which he's a member of). I decided to give it a look and here I am, joining August 10/15. Now I'm fully entrenched and went a tad overboard and bought CITY sets (Town Square, Toy/Grocery Shop, Bike Shop/Café), + Construction sets), TRAIN sets (Cargo/Heavy Haul/Passenger), the Ferris Wheel, Fairground Mixer, FRIENDS Heartlake Hotel + Mall sets, ending 2015 with the Crawler Crane. Along with buying extra pieces from here to add to MOC's or the never-ending (sigh) LEGO CITY landscape. 2016 started with the Garbage Truck & Corner Deli. April brought modulars of Pet Shop/Palace Cinema/Parisian Restaurant/Detective's Office. | | This page has been viewed 75 times. |
