About Me Pages: About Ivoryharp (14)
I am a mom of two, and grew up on Legos in the 70s. Every Christmas my brothers and I received a "share" gift that was usually a set of Legos. I would play with them now and then even in my teens. After a long hiatus and storage in my parents basement, those Legos came back out to play a couple years ago when my son reached an appropriate age. My preschool daughter isn't ready for building yet, but she also loves to play with the finished models. Now my son and I have been building a collection both of new sets and random pieces. Legos have changed a lot since I last played with them, and I'll admit to skepticism over the years as I watched those changes from the sideline. But they changed "smart" and all the new and specialized pieces have just enhanced the play and creativity rather than stifling it. Since returning to play, I have collected the pieces and built the Taj Mahal and the 2016 Lighthouse. I also love the modular buildings. My son loves Star Wars, Elves, Ninjago, and Chima. My daughter loves the Elves dragons.
