Which preset am I supposed to select when submitting a change request for instructions?

I assumed it was just the Catalog one.
However when submitting it tells me; "Item No to Change does not exist in
Catalog."
I am copy/pasting them Item No from the existing entry.

I've tried changing to Book rather than Catalog as well as attempting to
change the Item No by removing both the -1 and "Instructions Entry" Text.
I did not expect these to work and indeed they did not.

Looking at the Catalog Add or Change menu, there is an option for instructions
under Add Image but not under Change Item.

I just wanted to submit weight and dimensions for an instruction manual.
Perhaps I am missing something. But the guide just leads to the same Change Item
form, which is where I started.

This is an error.

The error there is yours. You shouldn't be searching "3068bp*".
If you go look, nothing is named that. They just put the old numbers in as
alternates so people who were unaware of the change will be able to find things
labelled with the old numbers. You are aware of the change and should only be
searching "3068p*".

If 3068b doesn't exist anymore ALL the 3068bp should change to 3068p

They did. You are finding the same pieces in both searches, except the "bp"
search will omit new ones going forward and also the peeron, LDraw, and I guess
Star Wars ones.

But old tiles are under 3068bp.

Only in their alternate numbers.

  Do you understand now?

Yes

Yes, it works for all the decorated tiles that had been created before the change

The search is fine, it is searching alternate numbers. So those 3068p- that have
a 3068bp- alternate number will be returned on a search for 3068bp*

This works only for OLD tiles.

So if you look for the 3068bp* in your inventory, only some will spawn.
This is wrong.

3068b doesn't exist anymore, now it is just 3068 to conform with LEGO number.

We have now 3068 for the regular current tile with groove and 3068a for the old

Thus printed tiles with groove are now 3068p*

I don't see any. Can you give an example?

You are right.

The problem is not the result, but the research.

3068bp* finds SOME result of the 3068p* but not ALL THE results.

The search is broken, not the inventory

The old item numbers 3068bpXXXX were put as Alternate IDs in the corresponding
parts to help locate them for users who don't know about the changes.

Because when searching 3068bp*, as it should, many do not appear.

3068apb are old, old ones without groove.

3068p are printed ones that were described by LDraw before Bricklink was created.
Dan used their designations to harmonize and gave them credit.

3068px are printed ones that were described by Peeron before Bricklink was created.

But old tiles are under 3068bp.

Hello, this has been bothering me for a while now, but several of the mask packs
listed either do not exist at all, or are listed with the wrong region.

For starters, the US/non-US distinction -- having spoken with several Canadian
BIONICLE fans about these, Canada had the boxed versions as well. Additionally,
LEGO's naming scheme uses the distinguishment of "IN" and "AM",
rather than "NA" or "US", which leads me to believe that they
were available in both South and North America.

Considering that Connecticut became HQ for LEGO's activities in all of America
around 1998, this also tracks: https://www.lego.com/en-gb/history/articles/g-production-in-brazil/

Further-more, I have found no evidence of 8530, 8559, 8597, or 8600 existing

I noticed that some sets like the Daily Bugle (76178-1) list the Doc Ock figure
with the arms included, but the one from the Monster Truck set (76174-1) didn't.

Could it be at least included as an alternate to the minifigure alone? It makes
more sense to me for the figure to be offered both with and without the mechanical
arms, but the listings including these are inconsistent.

Thanks for the consideration and any feedback about the situation.

Nathan (Peteparker)

Our current catalog guidelines for minifigures make the condition of handheld
items being added to the minifigure in the instructions the finishing point of
the minifigure build. So, for Doc Ock from

Set No: 76174 Name: Spider-Man's Monster Truck vs. Mysterio

the figure is considered complete on page 5 before the arms are built and added
on the subsequent pages.

Any logged in member can submit a change request, unless the site has a glitch

Would you like to put dimensions on instruction 41006. When SH is calculated
when ordering, you will have to pay for an L letter (14 EUR) when there are no
dimensions on it. Otherwise, it can be sent as an S letter for EUR 4.20. The
dimensions are 20.5 x 18 x 0.3 (BrickOwl) I have tried to replace it with another
instruction with the same dimensions, but where the dimensions are in the overview,
and then it can be sent as an S letter.

You can add the dimensions for the item here:
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogReq.asp?itemType=B

in the "Change Item Dimensions To" line.

it should be as simple as going to this page selecting book
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogImageAdd.page
and adding the image so long as it meets the restrictions and then submitting
it

Yeah, but that’s 800x600 (or 600x800).  I believe the catalogue team sometimes
accepts better images.

Yes. The question is how do I upload the 1600x1050 version? The text is hard
to read on the current 800x525.
