553pb045 Brick, Round 2 x 2 Dome Top with Dark Pink Dots, Dark Azure Rectangles, and Silver Panels Pattern (R2-BHD) Parts: Brick, Round, Decorated
It seems that only one of the patterned 553 bricks is in the catalog under the
alternate number 30367. Does anyone know if this is intentional? Should they
all have alternate numbers? Should the alternate number for 553pb045 be removed?

Generally alternate items are added to parts when they are found in them, with
the exception of things like tiles, torsos, heads (sadly), etc

For parts that appear less commonly as printed parts you are welcome to ask for
them to be added by posting a catalog request for us to add them but only if
you find the number on the part itself.
We don't add the alternates to all of them as standard as we don't know
which really have them molded on the part.
For common parts like printed tiles (where most users are going to know what
the part is called) we have stopped adding them altogether. If you are really
stuck you can always find the default base part number first anyway and use that.
We are hoping that as Bricklink re-develops then these kind of base part alternate
numbers can be included in search results even if the number is not on the catalog
entry of the printed part you are searching for.
In the meantime we try to balance findability with the time taken by the admin
team to be adding alternate numbers as standard every time we approve a printed
part.
Hope that makes sense.
Paul.
p.s. I added the alternate to the one you mentioned above

Makes a lot of sense! Thanks for taking the time to explain the reasoning and
standard practice, and for adding the number for me.
