Anyone else encountered this? The update database function is no longer working
for Brickstore. Started several days ago. I've tried all the usual fixes
but nothing seems to work. I did notice there appears to be an updated version
on the author's github page (1/18/26) but I can't seem to get the program
to update to this version.

Works like a charm here.

Latest version here:
https://www.brickstore.dev/download

Bugs:
https://github.com/rgriebl/brickstore/issues

Sometimes it happens because a malformed Catalog entry, example:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1527945

But right now it works.

Hmm, I don’t know: for me, it says the database is 5 days old and when I try
to update it, it says it’s already up-to-date.

(Compiled from sources, and the sources haven’t changed since.)

Indeed it has been failing since the 18th:

I will contact Robert about the issue.

I just updated it 30 minutes ago before posting. No problem!

Of course now it says it's updated.
I could deleted the DB maybe, but I *did* update.

See, that's dated less than an hour ago.
Windows 10, maybe this makes a difference?

Yes, you updated the file… but it’s the one that was generated 5 days ago.

My file is dated from the first time I started BS today.  It must have updated
it on its own?  Anyway, it still says it was generated 5 days ago and that it’s
up-to-date, that is, it’s the last one tha was generated and is available.

IOW, that means you hadn’t updated your db on that machine for at least 5 days.

Windows 10, maybe this makes a difference?

My condoleances.

Ah this, yes, it's 5 days old.

Maybe Robert could generate the new one due to a weird Catalog formatting?
Or related to the new colors?

I don't know; best is to open an Issue on github.
Won't, busy and don't need anything recently updated.

You could help with detecting these broken items as well: just click on the failed
job, then click on the the " (RED-X) regenerate " job once more and it
will give you the output of this run.

Currently it fails with:

/!\ FAILED: expected at least 3 fields in items/P.csv, line 93014

Now download the Parts CSV manually, and have a look a line 93014 and
you'll find a newline in the description.

I've opened https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1536044 for this.

Thanks for the details, indeed I checked the error jobs but only the 2 first
ones that had the red cross from a few days, and those the error seemed something
about the config file from ldraw. But know I know to look better

Is this the same database with a new name? It said BrickLinkChangelogId="447255"
now.

Check the price shown in Brickstore vs Bricklink, there are sizable differences.
