Hi,
Just to warn everyone that with the New coupons system (which by the way if far
more Quick to load now in january than it was in December), it's not possible
to define the scope of a coupon (parts, minifigs, sets...), it's necessarily
wide to your entire store !
Watch out if you use to issue 5-10% coupons... 😩
Ps : it doesn't seem to be an error, the whole coupon documentation has been
updated, and it doesn't show anymore how to define a coupon on some item
categories...
Sorry to beat a dead horse, but does anyone know if the category issue is going
to be addressed?
I am relatively certain this is a big issue for many respected and reputable
sellers.

I was able to ask this and the reply for the near future was no...

They broke it 2 months and 10 days ago and still won't fix it in the near
future?!

Measured in BrickLink Time, until now they're pretty fast!

When the merge happened they were very quick sorting issues. But with coupons
they have been terrible!

Not the same priority 🤷♂️
Plus, this is not a “bug,” it’s a “missing feature.” The new version of the
coupon feature works as designed. It’s just not designed the same way the old
version was or the way any seller would have wanted it designed.
Was it (stupidly) intentional? Was it (stupidly) overlooked? We’ll never know.
But what is now needed is basically a re-writing of the feature—a new new version—,
not a quickly added buggy kludge.
(And, no, they won’t put back the old version. They never go back. I’m not
sure they even can.)

Not true. There are many issues (bugs) with the new coupons.
The icon doesn't show if buyer has used it or if/when seller issues one.
The username auto fills but disappears if you click use saved presets. The min
limit says it's 0.00 but if you set it to that you get an error. As well
as the issues in this particular thread of not being able to choose what the
coupons are to be used for/not used for. Sets, sale items etc

The three first are small bugs and are explained by “not the same priority.”
The last is, as I said, a missing feature, not a bug. It’s as annoying (or more)
than a bug but it’s not a bug. It’s not just “oops, that should be -1 not +1,”
it’s “dang, we need to add attributes and all the mechanisms and UI to handle
them.”
