Cory, I just wanted to say for what it’s worth that your joke was crass, cruel
and completely uncalled for. It makes for a better forum when members post to
be helpful and supportive, not mean spirited. There was no need for that.

Always try and find humor and/or irony in tragedy. I then went on to share how
important my son's pet rabbits were to him as wee one, and my efforts to
console him when they were killed one after another. After losing his second
rabbit he was no longer interested in keeping them. What came from my struggle
to comfort him then, was the harsh understanding (for a young mind, especially)
that death is a part of life.
I see you didn't included that salient part in your public protest.
I’m sorry to hear about your rabbit, I feel your pain. It’s always hard to lose
a pet, they have such neat little personalities. It seems like your rabbit brought
you a lot of joy when you were together, and if she made it to 11 years hopefully
you have a lot of happy memories to look back upon.

Just a off topic message that I sadly lost my little white rabbit 2 days before
Thanksgiving unexpectedly.
She was fine 5 minutes before I left the room. I heard a loud ruckus and came
back to the room and she had broken her back somehow
Please cherish your own animals while you have them and make time for them. The
loss of a pet is very hard.

Yes I had her for 6 years. Would have loved for it to be longer.

So sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how much harder it is with it being
so unexpected.
Remember all the good times you had together, and I hope you are able to do something
personal to keep her memory strong for you when you are ready.
I was ready to work on a pixel art portrait of my pet cat 3 years ago after she
passed, so give your grieving process the time it needs, and don't feel rushed
in it.

Sorry to read that.
Animals are sometimes better company than humans.
Rabbits are really fragile.
Here's a picture of my girlfriend's rabbit I've taken 2 years ago
to make her laugh. Don't worry, he has around nine years old now and he's
still fine 😁

Thank you for your kind words.
Yes I agree animals make better company than humans, at least for me.

Would have been great if you had put a few potatoes and carrots in there poking
up around the little guy
