I have heard of some stores sourcing parts needed from a list and them uploading
them all reserved in your Bricklink name so only you see them to purchase.
How do i start on something like that which store allows you do that thanks??

I haven’t seen many stores doing that.
Actually, I remember only of one (*cough* 1001 *cough*). He says “send us your
wanted list” in his terms.
I don’t know of any way to find other such stores. I mean, other than by stumbling
into them.

Agreed (and thanks for the pun), but in a majority of cases, a wanted-list and
optimizing yourself a few orders is the more optimal solution.
Right because if you send a list to a store chances are the owner will just turn
to BrickLink to fulfill it, and pass the cost plus a modest fee onto the buyer

You could save on shipping if you need many parts and if the “proxy” seller orders
other things from the stores.
Example: I need 3 stores for €30 of parts, that would be €20 of shipping or more
(+67%).
The seller can buy more parts, reducing the impact of shipping to, say, +10%,
and then they add their own markup of +10% (yeah, I’m optimistic), and charge
me €5 shipping. Total for me: €40 or less (surely, they already have half the
parts I need) instead of €50; and less work.

This is precisely what I do only on a larger scale where shipping would be significantly
higher. There is a designer I work with (not a rebrickable designer, someone
who makes "limited edition" sets they give away as gifts) who simply
doesn't want to deal with the headache of sourcing parts from 10-15 different
places. Through word of mouth I picked up a few more regulars who are in the
same boat. The value add to them is that as I sort and count, I put the parts
in numbered bags for them so all they need to do is put the bags in to their
packaging and off it goes.
