Oh, I’m sure many of us share those feelings! I feel sorry for the sellers in
rural areas who are now left without options. I live on a farm in a rural area,
but at least I can make the trip to Chit Chats a few times a week - 45 minutes
each way. 🙁
I really hope it gets settled quickly.

wild! The gas cost for that has got to add up. Have you checked to see what the
cost for you is for a pickup option? (as in you place all your shipments in 1
box), then through chit chats, (or stallion as they do it via UPS), They pick
up the package?
I really hope it gets settled quickly.
Indeed!

This is a good idea, thanks for the advice! The Chit Chats website says their
Ontario pickup routes are at capacity, but I can still ask about it. Or, maybe
there’s a courier that will take them into the city for me.
At the moment, I try to run a bunch of errands together so at least I accomplish
a few things for the price of the gas.

best of luck! I think they also have an option to directly ship it to them

CanadaPost is on strike, tariffs are imposed, and on top of everything, my avatar

Is there anything worse that can happen to our bricklink's journey?

True. If ever that happens, I wonder how badly we will be trified by a trified

I see that you’ve closed your shop for now 🙁 but I figured I’d mention (since
you’re in Sudbury) that if you have a Costco membership they partner with ShipTime
and you can at least get some discounts on the alternate shippers. You just use
your Costco membership number.

Isn't your entire country "on strike" in one form or another
I guess its one trait we get from france 😭😁
Very good
Reset, reassess and then finally submit to the realities of your reality
of now, is my advise. In other words, embrace more wholeheartedly, your Gallic
and/or Anglo Saxon culture
We can't escape our history (none of us) but we can alter it's trajectory,
given some thought

Isn't your entire country "on strike" in one form or another Just
get it together, at the ballot box if nowhere else... and if not, whining after
the fact isn't gonna help you much
I *do* live in a country where people are often unhappy of their govs/laws, and
the more I see it, the more I think it's sane to discuss, union, protest
about working conditions, etc.

I'm very happy we've got the right to collectively protest as a kind
of amendment here, and to use it.
Wow!
You are "very happy" being "allowed" 'sort
of'' to speak your mind Say no more...
What a privilege
Says the guy who lives in a country where a comedian, who was just speaking his
mind, got preempted because the government threatened his employer.
They're cancelling as fast as I post, my friend. So I'm purposely avoiding
your beautifully provocative postings, hopefully allowing them to remain longer
before also being cancelled. Keep it coming, though. Ignorant as they mostly
are, I do like the fight in you

But, uh…you seem to be purposefully *replying*. You sure you’re good on the
definition of “avoiding”?
your beautifully provocative postings,
Aw, that’s one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me 😍. But maybe
try “pleasingly” instead of “beautifully” for better alliteration. Keep honing
your craft; you’ll get there.

But you sort of wimped out on the fighting part, didn’t you? No rebuttal to
my riposte—just a mindless, mediocre insult. Sad, low energy.

Okay. I'm really not interested personally denigrating you, or any others
for that matter, that have only antagonism. I prefer addressing topics
and pertinent matters along with any mindless jabs, which I know you're fully
capable of. So if this pattern of behavior reflects some form of entertainment
for you, please continue without my replies. But you've any salient inputs,
I'm listening.

I’m not entirely convinced all of that is sincere, especially since I’ve seen
you dish out condescending, mean-spirited, jabs to numerous members around here
for years. But I’ll concede for a moment since it finally feels like we’re getting
somewhere. I will say, though, that it looks a little strange for you to take
such umbrage when someone mirrors your energy and apes you a little bit. You
might want to think about that.
So, if you really want to have a discussion, share your thoughts on the following:
is there not a little dissonance when an American (i.e. you) ridicules French
notions of free speech while American comedians are being openly threatened by
a sitting president because of their speech, with one even being suspended after
the FCC threatened his employer? What salient input do you have to offer on
that topic?
The bigger questions that really has me flummoxed—and one that I’d really love
to understand—is why you feel what seems to be a compulsive need to come into
a LEGO forum and make controversial off-topic posts that you know will be cancelled
for running afoul of the TOS? Furthermore, why grouse about the completely inevitable
outcome? Why spend your time doing that? It seems fruitless and joyless. Is
there not another forum that would welcome your comments rather than cancel them?
