I'm sorry you guys are having a sales slump, but I'm also glad to see
it isn't just me. I'm down 50% from this time last month. August and
March are usually my worst months, but this is shaping up to be the worst I've
had in close to 2 years.

Last year I had only two orders between 9/18 and 9/24.
This year I've had 9 (so far) and one was from a newly-registered user.
Over the past few days I have had a significant reduction in sales.

Thank you for reporting this, we've been seeing similar reports from other
sellers. We went back to check site traffic and it looks to be identical to the
first week of September. We will continue to monitor this.

site traffic in general or site sales
Honestly, I haven't made any transactions from Canada because I'm still
waiting on a product I ordered on August 31 that was shipped 11 days ago, has
0 tracking info, Seller hasn't replied, and last I heard was "Tariffs"
and that it was changed to "Shipped". Once I get a tracking number or
receive the product, I'll be shopping again. Especially now that we have
an idea of what to expect with "Tariffs".

I'm another store that has seen all orders suddenly stop on the integration
date, from a previous position of 1/2/3 orders daily for years.
The store visit counter is still ticking over, and it doesn't look like any
setting such as blocking, shipping, terms, and so on have changed.
To explain why some stores have seen all sales stop, whereas other stores have
continued as normal, I'm thinking it's more than just the mess that's
been made with the age gate, cookies and signing in. I have noticed that it's
no longer possible to use 'wanted lists' to purchase on mobile phones,
due to the site scrolling being broken. I've seen that this has impacted
users on desktop browsers such as Firefox too.
Maybe one line of enquiry should be whether it is stores that have previously
gained more orders through the 'wanted list' path of purchasing that
are suffering?
I am talking about smaller stores that may have a slightly higher price-per-piece,
so don't compete with the bulking stores that have millions of parts, but
regularly picked up orders due to variety of lots and used parts, that fit with
'wanted list' orders.
I also get frustrated with users who pile in to a thread after 10 sellers have
said there's a problem, just to post that they don't individually have
a problem. If you don't have a problem, there's really no need to post
about it.

That issue with not being able to scroll on a page has existed for a long time
(well before the integration) and, as far as I know, so far, it’s always been
due to the cookies popup not popping up: it’s blocking the site, waiting for
your choice but it’s not visible, either because of a problem with it or because
something on your browser (ad-blocker or such) is preventing it to pop up.
Going to the cookies page to make your choice should solve the problem (https://www.bricklink.com/v3/cookies.page
).
Now, that is not an obvious solution and it may be one factor in the hypothetized
reductions of orders on Bl. What I mean is just that I’m about sure it IS due
to the cookies issue.

Someone saying “not me!” is indeed frustrating when you do have a problem.
It’s generally not a solution to your problem and it could be perceived as gloating.
But knowing / making known that a problem is not general and is not happening
to everybody is very important.
Knowing “when” a problem occurs—does it depend on the browser, the OS, the account,
the location, the ISP, etc.— is important, especially when it’s factors the one
who has the problem can test and change.
More specifically to the issue at hand, knowing whether the total number of orders
on BL (and their amounts) has been impacted by the change is important, and some
people saying “not me” or even “it’s the opposite for me: I got more orders”
is a strong indication the account integration didn’t break the site globally.
Global numbers shown in other posts tend to say there’s been no catastrophic
impact of the integration on sales.
Now, maybe flux shifted because of the integration (you lost orders & some other
sellers won more)… though I don’t really see how people who can’t log in to buy
from one seller could log in to buy from another one. Ditto for those who are
postponing their activities on BL until all the problems are fixed.
Every time there’s a change on the website, anything that happens is blamed on
the change. Post hoc ergo propter hoc (after this therefore caused by
this). It’s a good heuristic to begin investigations on what to blame, but one
shouldn’t stop there.

My sales were ok. No dropping.
I had only one huge order from a new member who had already ordered from me.
He said he couldn't merge his first account with Lego.com so he created a
new account.

Yes, as a buyer I'm deterred. I have to answer the year question, and do
cookie selection, when I just go to the Bricklink web page (every time), and
answer the same questions every time I login. On the bright side - Legos software
folks allow me to enter the year of 1900. So I enter 1900 every time. I want
to see what they recommend for someone that is 125 years old. :'))
I was in the middle of putting together an order, and had to deal with an issue
in the house, when I came back, I was logged out [never happened before the upgrade],
so rather dealing with answering the questions again - I did something else,
and never finished that order.
Also, I had a couple orders in before the merger (that I was waiting on invoices),
but the sellers were delayed in sending them (due to the seller having merger
issues).
Plus as a USA buyer - last thing I had seen on the news was many country post
systems were no longer sending packages to the USA - due to the $800 package
tariff exemption going away. So, I have not ordered anything from sellers outside
the USA due to this. I have not had time to research what the tariff (of the
day) % is for every country, which countries are actually shipping, and the postage
rates to determine who actually has the best bottom line prices.
So yes, buyers are tuned off with the initial "upgrade" and are not ordering.
Sorry, but figured you might want to hear from a regular buyer.

I’ve only had 2 orders since the merge. I’ve only been a seller for six months,
but I was averaging at least 1 sale per day. I think people are waiting for the
bugs to be worked out of the system in case the seller is experiencing problems.

I was having the same feelings, and decided to look at the forum. Seems like
i'm not the only one with hardly any sales.
Since the account merge i only had 3 orders, in August i had 25. Now to be fair,
till the 18th i also had 7 orders this month, but still having only 3 in the
second half of the month is really slow. Haven't had so little sales in 2
years.

But you also haven’t listed any minifigures or sets and less than 10 parts since
the login merge. So it might be that buyers bought what they wanted before the
merge in anticipation that there might be problems.

I'm just an out-of-hand hobby shop. My last large insert has been over 1,5
year ago. I have such a large inventory since then, that there will always be
some sales for people that need some kind of bricks or sets. That hasn't
slowed down sales in the months since than, only now.

I went back and looked at my numbers from previous years - I had to go back to
2022 to find a September that wasn't much worse in the latter half than in
the first half. So I don't know whether it's a trend in general, but
it certainly has been for me. Ironically, maybe, that hasn't been the case
this year even after the merge (well, the average order since the merge has been
considerably smaller than before the merge, just considering this month only).
Anyway ... for some real numbers. I went back and checked total sales over similar
time periods (28-29 days) in the past. This is unscientific since I'm only
looking at my own order numbers but I think it's good for a rough estimate:
2-30 Aug 2024 - 229,087
2-30 Sep 2024 - 231,079
2-30 Oct 2024 - 232,949
1-29 Nov 2024 - 252,349
3-31 Dec 2024 - 241,584
2-30 Jan 2025 - 278,361
1-29 Apr 2025 - 231,074
1-29 May 2025 - 229,614
1-29 Jun 2025 - 233,163
1-29 Aug 2025 - 239,650
1-29 Sep 2025 - 235,374
Some are missing because I didn't have orders 28 days apart in those months.

But how come you only have 1000 reviews?

As just a "hobby store" I have never had high volumes of sales, but my
last order was early on 18th September and I have had nothing since. The store
is being viewed but these have not turned into sales.
As a Canadian Seller who used to average at least 3 sales order a day, my sales
currently are next to nil (doesn't help that Canada Post is striking AGAIN).
Sigh...
