Merged my BL account with the LEGO one.
Been using different emails: a personal one for LEGO and a work email for BL.

Turns out merging changes the BL email. OK, let's go change it — it's
always been easy.
Just now it redirects to LEGO.com, so you have to change it there instead.

Successfully changed it, though BrickLink still shows the old one, and clicking
on 'change' again redirects back to LEGO.com, where it's already
updated.

Suggestions?

p.s. was expecting this whole integration thing to cause a ton of trouble, just
love how I have to deal with it right before getting started

Yep, I have the same problem.

Different email addresses for B/L and Lego, and it has now defaulted both as
the Lego account email I had, and I now can't change the B/L account email
address back to my business one.

The change takes about 30 seconds, please check again.

It's been an hour and yet nothing's changed...
BL still shows the old one at the account info page and in all the orders received
and placed

This definitely hasn't worked. Changing your email in your Lego account does
not update or change your email in your B/L account.

I seem to remember that changing your Lego account nickname took ages to actually
change, so maybe the systems are slow or fried because you've asked everyone
to do the same thing at the same time.

Yep, the system is slowed or fried. I wanted to change nicknames between my
two accounts. I changed on the one and when the second tried to take the nickname
I literally just free'd up, it says it is already taken.

There’s a “cool down” period before you can reuse a nickname.  No one knows how
long it is.

Some say 30 days, but I also don't know how long.

Did you just changed from white to red?

Yes.  A month is the time before you can change your nickname again.  It would
be logical to be the same time.

Yes, I’m still finding myself…

And that is why? And why is that such a secret? There is already a fuction making
sure you have to use your new one for 30 days. Why block the old one?
Only explanation would be also 30 days so that you have one chance to get it
back.
Would be okay to wait but trying to change several times a day (before really
someone else takes it), is annoying af.
