Hello everyone,

I'm probably being a bit too cautious, but with all the fraud messages, I
prefer to ask the community since this is the first time I'm dealing with
Bricklink support.

I asked them a question and before answering, they ask me for this information,
is that normal?

I've never shared my user ID, is this information that I can share without
risk? Is it normal for Bricklink support to ask me this by email? Thank you for
your clarification

They ask? Who, how? Through a BrickLink message, or I guess an e-mail?

The e-mail address should be (was, at least, CustomerSupport AT this site).

If you're talking about your shop ID, it's public, you can see it as
sID in this URL for example:

https://store.bricklink.com/CynaBricks?sID=2606827&itemID=361087438#/shop

In short, check from where comes this e-mail?
But if you asked a question and they replied -lucky you! - then it sounds pretty
legit.

Yeah the email should be this unless they changed it since April

Pleaser make sure to always check the email address. The correct customer service
email address is mentioned in this thread: bricklink@support.lego.com
BrickLink customer service will ask you for account details in some cases, for
example, to confirm your identity, but would never ask you for any payment details
as BrickLink does not store payment information.
