I don't mind the merge, but I am against the email merge for LEGO and Bricklink.
I specifically created an email for Bricklink, just so I don't have to search
through all the hundreds of daily email from my everyday use email. Now it's
not just merging with LEGO, it's also "merging" with school emails,
bank emails, all the other services email, etc.
Finding a buyers message that did not go through the Bricklink messaging system
could easily get lost in all my other emails... which leads to Non Responding
seller, nss, complaints etc. It has happened before.

Just my rant. What are your thoughts?
Either you change the LEGO account’s email address to use the BL one, or you
create another LEGO account with the same email address as BL (and the correct
nickname too).
Contrarily to BL, you can have multiple LEGO accounts, just by using different
email addresses.

Thank you. I may have to do that. Good info.
1. Go to your lego.com account-sign in
2. Click on your user name top left corner
3. Click on "account settings"
4. Click on "my information"
5. Put in your email address you want to use with lego in the future-4th column
down
6. Go to bottom of page-click save
7. TLG will send you an email within seconds with a numerical password
8. In Lego.com- put in the password that was just emailed to you
9. From this moment on your email with Lego.com is changed forever.
10.This method works because I did it, as did others that I know personally.
Where you will have issues is "name change". If someone already has your
Bricklink nickname as there lego.com name you will have issues in the future.
You can change you nickname the same way. This would make the pending integration
smooth for you.
It is true you can have more than 1 account. But if you get caught using multiple
accounts to buy items over the maximum quota's all your accounts will be
likely closed without notice to you.
I know people personally this has happened to.Sylvain could have worded his message
a little better, he is correct, he just didn't mention the consequences if
you inadvertently did something wrong.

Well, the idea is to have that second LEGO account to use only for BrickLink,
keeping both accounts and, more importantly for RedTardis, their communications
separate.
Buying from S@H with the BL account would be contraty to that goal.
But using that second account to circumvent quotas didn’t even cross my mind,
mainly because I’m not a seller. I have already generally not much interest
in buying twice the same set, so I have even less interest in buying more than
the quota.
And also: I’ve principles, sir! 😇
Lastly, I’m not sure “inadvertently” is the proper word because it’s clearly
stated the S@H quotas are by household, not by account.

lol, Settle down.
I know it did not cross your mind, that is why I suggested inadvertance. You
answered a question factually, not in totality.
Yes it is per household. You think on integration these matters wont come to the
forefront? 100% they will and multiple accounts will become an issue down the
road.
Integration is only the beginning, you are a smart man surely you can also foresee
this.
An example, if Bricklink does not allow multiple accounts, and Lego.com/Bricklink
are about to merge/integrate, TLG owns Bricklink. The logical conclusion here
is down the road multiple accounts will not be allowed. So why have multiple
accounts now when one could just fall in line and prevent foreseeable anxiety.
The only real need for multiple accounts is where and when a person(s) are operating
various entities under a subsidiary position. Aside from that I would think only
a negative inference can be drawn to that persons true intentions.

Er, no. That does not logically follows.
The opposite—that BL will start allowing multiple accounts—could follow too.

Nope, one other and more important need is kids: each kid has their own account
for LEGO games, for “managing” their collection on LEGO.com (for what poor management
you can do there), for their Insiders points, etc.
Little Bruce and little Sheila want to play LEGO games together or separately,
but not on the same account. They each want their own nickname and avatar.
They don’t want to share their high scores and saves. One account per household
doesn’t allow that.
It may surprise you, but LEGO is still a toy, and even though there’s a lot done
to catch the adult market, LEGO doesn’t want to lose the kids (which are also
future adults).

But we are not talking about kids are we?. We are discussing adults with Bricklink
User accounts and not kids.
It would be madness for TLG to exclude children, that is not the point.

Use the bl email to create a new lego account and keep them separate. Or use
email filters to separate anything from bricklink into a different mail folder.

Old gray, that must be the problem, it's obsolete. Try with New Bluish Gray
instead?

It only took 1 Appeal I guess. So, that's something?
So now I have 2 LEGO accounts. One to hold my jennnifer and one to hold my Old
Grey Bricks. This is just. Yeah.
I've chosen the angriest 'avatar' I could find because I am angry
at losing my individual-ness with my ID card and having to make these choices
just to keep on with everything I've had for 15 years. I tried to change
the avatar in the Play app, but it doesn't work on my phone apparently.

Is it the app that doesn’t work or the change of avatar?
If the latter, you need to create an avatar first (the “+” to get the “1/10”
on the pic here: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1519945 ).
Otherwise, the apps let you personalize the “0th” avatar but it doesn’t save

I click on my blank LBG avatar in the corner. On the next screen, I click on
the pencil edit symbol. I select Avatar. That takes me to a purple screen with
3 alternating minifigs dancing. No buttons, no options, nothin.
I am literally dealing with dancing minifigs today instead of working. Sigh.

On the website it only lets you change between created avatar, to customize them
you need the app on your phone:

and they eventually go.
It doesn’t seem to be a timeout.

TheBrickDoggo wouldn't have fit better, Jim?
Well my dog's name is Skragle so I maybe a good name would be TheSkragleyBrick??

uhhhh no idea, I'm missing a reference
I had to ask chatGPT:
Yes, the name Skragle is a reference from The LEGO Movie (2014), and it's
not a character but actually a substance used by the villain.
Here's a quick breakdown:
In The LEGO Movie, the main villain is Lord Business, who wants to keep the LEGO
world perfectly organized and unchanging.
To do this, he uses a weapon called the Kragle — which is actually a misread
Krazy Glue (with some of the label letters rubbed off).
The characters in the movie misinterpret the name as “Kragle,” which becomes
this ominous, powerful tool of control.
So your friend’s dog's name, Skragle, is probably a playful twist on Kragle
from the LEGO universe — maybe mixing it with “scraggy” or “scrappy” for a fun
sound. It’s not a character per se, but it is a clever LEGO reference.

gg Jim!
The name Skragle really fits him because of his hair and once I thought of Kragle
it just clicked. I really didn't care if it was a character I just wanted
something Lego related / Lego themed and I really loved the first movie. I thought
they did a great job of tying in the real world with the Lego world. The second
movie was decent but just not as good as the first but that usually seems to
be the way franchise movies are - if the first one is really good then it is
hard to follow that up.
