Not a huge deal but for my (undiagnosed) OCD I have 2 buyers that moved their
orders to received and have not moved them to complete. Neither has responded
to my messages and it's been over a month since they placed their orders.
Is there any way to force the order status to complete?

Best to not message buyers for that and to let it be, you can file the order
to remove it from your screen but messaging buyers for feedback/order status
can easily lead to negative feedback.

Running a store on BL is both great for - and detrimental for - managing your
OCD and anal retentiveness. The fact of the matter is you can't and shouldn't
do a damn thing about it but just file the order as soon as you know the package
is delivered.

I don’t think all that many buyers care about order status and feedback. any
more. Out of my last 16, all have been delivered but only 9 are marked complete,
3 received and 4 shipped. Only 5 left feedback.

That is about the proportion I am finding. In my experience it is those who have
been members for sometime or who are also a seller who are most likely to
leave feedback or classed the order as complete. After two months any received
but uncompleted orders I move to Filed and forget about them.
Over the last 6 months of sales we have about 50 old orders marked as received
and about 350 old orders still just marked as shipped. Many of these buyers have
left positive feedbacks (about the normal percentage for all orders) so I think
that many just dont really care about what the order status, they just want the
order to be good and all is well. I know myself I dont care weather the order
is marked shipped, completed or received just so long as the customer is happy.

I wonder how much of this is caused by people not knowing you need to click "submit
changes"?

No, once the buyer marks an order Received the seller can't change the status.

HAHAHAH.. Good luck, you'll see a lottery win before that ever happens. I
should know I've #$%^&* about this for over 20 years here and the excuses
of today are the same ones used back when I walked up the hill to school both
ways in the snow.
