I've only imported 9 orders this year and 2 had problems. Both of them were
shipped via NL Post and Deutsche Post which route through JFK Customs since that's
where KLM and Lufthansa's cargo goes. One took 19 days to clear, the other
has been "stuck" since March 1st. Two other shipments got through in
about 4-5 days.
The other 5 orders were shipped via DHL which routes through Chicago and everything
has cleared in 24-72 hours.
It's a very small sample size, but its been enough to make me specifically
shop stores that will ship to me with DHL, and I'm keeping my orders well
below $800.

DHL is more expensive way to ship orders, so I use only Serbia Post Office.
I think,there will be some changes in taxes for USA customers.
And I don't know if it is smart to 'close' store for USA customers
for now.
I don't want all USA orders back
Don't cut off USA sales just because you think the shipping is expensive.
Let the buyer decide. I factor all that in when I make my purchases and to
be honest, right now the biggest factor is how the USD lost it's value again.

shipping cost here in Serbia). I will close it temporarily because of USA customs
delays. I don't want to risk returns or long shipping time. The buyers can
decide if they want to request a quote.

usps has recently been implementing taxes/duties stuff on "all" made
in china goods which is likely 1 of the reasons.

I've placed 4 orders from Europe since April 20th - the delays have only
been 1 or 2 days. So not really an issue in my case, on a very small sample size.
I just placed another order today, so hoping my delays remain the same.
