Hello bricklink community,

I've tried an internet search, but no luck. I have a question about the
details of when Lego went from stamping the foot on one leg (I think it was initially
the right, but not sure) to stamping both feet.

As well, is there any information out there about the stamp on the hips being
horizontal or vertical?

I recently made a purchase of 80 new 970c86pb02 Hips and Light Bluish Gray Legs
with Chain Mail Pattern and there appear to be some inconsistencies.

Thanks in advance,
Christopher

that set of legs would have been made in both the standard factories and the
lower quality china factories (all real) so it would make sense for some variations
to appear in quality and possible print design
