Crikey, I just broke out in a rash thinking about it.

Agreed, apart the 24/7/365 BrickLink (real) full time job, how can someone decently
do something else? That's just either silly or science-fiction.

Yeah spot on, I can appreciate you guys that are grinding out the numbers you
are because I know how much time I devote just to get my little store uploaded.
BTW, don't tell my boss but I may have sorted some LEGO at work last year
when no one was looking.
Nothing but respect for the full time sellers, I mentioned it to another guy
today, you probably saw that. I think a bunch of people just think its easy
peasy selling and definetely a grind.

That is called a "fringe benefit"

Trust me the worst part of my day is the "commute". I will be glad when
I no longer have that. Of course, driving almost anywhere in 2025, at least
the East Coast, is taking your life in your hands with each drive.
They are not too high, that’s your opinion, I refuse to join the race to the
bottom, to be the cheapest where everything is £0.01 that many others follow.
The quality of my items and service are high, check out my feedback, I spend
a lot of time rejecting pieces or offering those at lower prices.
Do I make mistakes, yes like most others but I do my best to put it right often
at my own expense, never the customers. I source replacements and absorb postal
charges and packing, I only refund when I cannot replace item or customer requests.
I don’t charge extra fees and I don’t charge for packaging, most of which is
now brand new, used up all the recycled I had already.

Well, I can only hope it improves, bills to pay and all that.
Your prices are way too high. No wonders you dont sell...
Your prices are too high in comparison to the 6m avg. This is for a lot of users
a reference point. Even if you add 10% you are more expensive. So buyers are
discarding your shop. Simple as that. Your effort you take is honorable but doesn't
matter. Sorry to say that.
And apparently you don't offer shipping only national. Maybe Brexit is also
a factor.

No problem with your opinion, everyone has their own.
However I do take issue with the comment that “ it doesn’t matter “, again your
opinion, others will say otherwise.
You will see comments here regarding some sellers sending out items that are
basically junk, these sellers when challenged usually reply along the lines of
“ what do you expect for used “.
I’ve had the issue my self with poor/ terrible quality which has usually been
resolved.
The only seller that has stoplisted me, so far ( ) is one where I politely
asked for a replacement part ( bite marks on head )as I wasn’t happy with what
I received.
To their credit they did just that but added me to their stoplist, their choice
and no loss to myself if they don’t want any further orders from me.
I don’t want to sell overseas anymore due to too much online registration, paperwork
etc.
Brexit didn’t help with that but there is so much more work involved with non
EU countries too including all the automated fees which require extra work (
time and effort ), something at a premium to me.
Once I sold a lot overseas but not any more, I decided to stop, not something
I did gladly as I enjoyed the process back then.
I’m a one man band selling off a sizeable personal collection and not set up
to cope with online registrations, customs declarations, printing etc.
No phoney/fake sales, rarely discount but will go out of my way to help if I
can, that’s just me and I’m not about to change.
Hope you find the parts/sets at the prices you want, happy building.
Stuart

That is not really the case, most stores that sell specialty parts are above
the 6-month average. I’ve sold many items multiple X over the 6-month average
and they sell in days as many buyers don’t care about checking if each item listed
is at the 6-month average, also if a store has good feedback and is known for
quality parts buyers are very willing to pay above the 6-month average. In general
unless you are a brand new store selling common parts is not advised to list
items at that price

So in that same context does that mean a person who does not sell "new"
parts on Bricklink but does sell New quality bricks to a Bricklink store owner
who onsells quality New Bricks can ask more for those bricks he is selling to
that New parts Bricklink supplier?

Asking for a friend lmao!!!!
I was referencing specialty parts I still list my regular new parts
at the 6-month average but things like minfigure parts go higher.

When I read that Stuart I was offended for you, hence the "crawl back under
your rock"comment.
I actually looked in your store and didn't think prices were geographically
bad. Actually I am think of buying a few of your poly bags.

I'm also very patchy. 3-4 sales in one day a week ago, then nothing at all
for a week, then 3 in the span of a few hours. Very up and down, fairly odd compared
to my usual. I don't mind, as I have very little time as it is.
