I had a bit of a brain fart today. I had a buyer place an order and I recognized
all the parts as the locomotive for set 60337. They confirmed and mentioned
a few modification pieces they were changing. So I told them "well you know
what, I've got an unopened copy, I'll just send you bags 2 and 3 from
the set".

So I did that, but in order to clean up the inventory numbers I meant to upload
the parts for bags 2-3 through brickstore but I accidentally uploaded the entire
set.

How do I go about removing the contents of bags 1, 4-7 from the inventory? I
have the parts list in Brickstore for those bags but what function/process do
I need to use to "reverse consolidate" these parts from their parent
lot?

On bricklink you can do a -1 partout and from there you could do some brickstore
magic and reupload the other parts

I think I accidentally figured it out. I can do the "multiply by -1"
to invert the totals, but I can't update the inventory because I don't
have a LOT ID.

So I played around a little and found a way to do it. You download your store
inventory in one tab. Open the set inventory in another tab. Go back to the
Store inventory tab. Go to Edit - subtract and you get a prompt asking what
file/tab you want to subtract from. Select the sets' inventory tab and click
OK.

It should go without saying, but you of course then need to update the store
inventory on BL from the corrected file.

It's a good question insofar as the answer is commonly sought. It's simple,
just process the negative amount needed to subtract, using the very same method
of partout.

Watch your "Default Comments to" and "Default Remarks to" fields,
in doing so.

I feel like I had a glitch a month or two ago where it wasn't allowing me
to enter a negative number - or maybe I was trying to up update a negative number
that was causing the lot to go below zero? I don't know, I can't remember
what happened but I didn't try that method last night. Good to know that
there are two ways to do it though.
