I have not had any issues with buyers yet on bricklink. But when I purchase something
from eBay the package does get delayed by about 10 days late. Sometimes it moves
around 4 different post offices around my city before I finally get it. Also
I noticed the package gets stuck in Indiana for about 4 days.
I was just complaining to a co-worker about this. I actually worked at the USPS
as a "casual employee" back in 2001 for 89 days(you cannot go 90 because
they would have to hire you). It was interesting then to see how the mail is
routed as I was at one of the Big Distribution Centers. I can say this, they
have way to many supervisors. It was like that scene in Office Space(If you
have not seen Office Space, you must watch now) where he is telling the Bob's
why he isn't motivated. Anyhow, flash to 2025 and it seems like it gets
to certain distribution centers and just sits or gets routed to the wrong
one. I had a package going from Massachusetts to Michigan. Somehow it ended
up in Des Moine, Iowa. From there it went to Pittsburgh, finally up to Detroit,
back to Pittsburgh, back to Detroit and then after six days in Detroit finally
made a couple more stops in Michigan before finally being delivered. I think
like at least one in ten of my shipments get delayed, misrouted, or sit at the
DC for too long(I have one I am waiting for right now that is sitting since Wednesday).
They probably put all there efforts into Priority and first class letter mail
and then deal with the packages but they should be able to handle the volume.
The First Class mail, the big moneymaker back in the day, is basically on life
support. I feel like because there is so much commerce being done online that
if anything the USPS should be solvent as they would be out of business if they
only had letters and Priority. So to end this rant, YES, I feel your pain!
Sadly I don't think YOU or any of US, should ever have to get a neutral or
negative feedback for something we cannot control. I don't have a ton of
business but the 4 or so orders I do get every week I do keep track of and I
will send the buyer an update and a "hey sorry the USPS delayed your LEGO".
I ship very quickly and it is very frustrating to go out of ones way only to
have the momentum lost because of the mentioned delays. Good luck to all of
us.

Please forgive the edit. I was interested in what you had to say but can't
read solid text. Sorry!
It is my understanding that the many package delays come from the (newish) process
of parking any packages that don't get handled before close of business.
Then, starting the next day with the new mail and only processing the parked
bins once they catch up. You can thank the now departed DeJoy for that fantastic
'cost saving' idea.
The rule should be First In, First Out. I am not holding my breath for anything
to improve at this point though!

Yes, this drove me crazy when I worked there because you were like is that bin
ever going to get to be sorted
The rule should be First In, First Out. I am not holding my breath for anything
to improve at this point though! It should be but not all mail is good mail, the stuff they are losing money on gets pushed back. When we did get to the pushed back stuff we would usually not be doing it for long as first class mail would arrive and we'd be back on that.
Luckily, when I sent the client the tracking proof and the related article relevant
to that particular hub, they were quick to revise feedback.

I had a 2 day priority mail package take 8 days to arrive. It's the new
normal, I'm afraid.
The trick, at least here in France is that:
Postal delays (I'm not talking about courriers, UPS, Fedex, DHL such) are
AVERAGES, averages for a whole measured YEAR on a limited SAMPLE of the shipped
mail in the whole Country (State, Region whatever).
In short, Lettre Verte ("eco letter" here) is given for 3 days; in practice
it's 2 days to .. 3 weeks (no kidding, had a few) depending when, from where
to where, and just probably luck.
But don't get me wrong, mathematically, it's still 3 days.
