As some of you may know, there is a periodic PayPal issue that may cause some
transactions to appear as "Completed" while still awaiting confirmation
from PayPal.

If you are a buyer and suspect one of your orders has been affected, please
check the payment status in your PayPal account. We encourage you to contact
the seller to work this out together before placing a Non-Shipping Seller (NSS)
alert.

If you are a seller, we recommend you verify that you have received payment
in your PayPal account before sending out an order.

We appreciate your patience as we work on a solution for this issue.

You mean "Paid" or "Paid !" and not "Completed," right?

This is critical, I has an issue yesterday where it showed just "Paid"
no exclamation mark, and was pending on PayPal.

today, will be displaying a "Paid-Pending" status for these cases.

Please check your "Order Status." If it shows "Paid-Pending",
the payment has not yet been finalized. Wait until the "Order Status” updates
to "Paid" before fulfilling the order.

Hi,

Thanks for the update

Is that a new status that appear as such in the API?
Because I believe the more dangerous problem was that stores that are using their
own app wouldn’t see the difference between “Paid” and “Paid!” through the API.

It'd help if we had screen copies of where and how this status is shown,
like in Order page, Order Received or Placed one, etc. and what it looks like,
maybe here or here?

Will this change automagically when fully Paid or should we refresh the page(s)?
Will that change the Order Status date?

Thank you for this post!

A bit less happy with the 1+ month delay to post it as I guess you did notice
this far before by the zillion extra Help Desk tickets But thanks again to
confirm.

I think I just found the reason the payments were "rejected".

There is a setting on PayPal set by default to block all eCheque payments except
eBay. I don't remember seeing it before.

The page with the payment settings is in Account Settings Account & Security
   Payment Preferences Block Payments or https://www.paypal.com/businessmanage/preferences/payments

Interesting! I just checked and found that setting. But for me, the option to
block was not turned on. Don't know if that's the default or not, but
I don't remember even having seen it before.
