It sure looks like forum moderation (and in particular, cancelling posts) has
changed with the CEP moderators being de-fanged. Pretty sure the CEP mods would
have intervened by now in the "tariffs" thread for getting too political.
Also, the "gummy" posts stay up way longer - until California wakes up.
Do the current CEP moderators have _any_ "power" left, or has it morphed
into just a meaningless title on their avatar card?

Niek.
I was talking to a mod and they said they couldn’t to squat to stop gummies.
The good news is we can now spam the forum with pizza and get away with it for
over 60 hours!

I was thinking the same thing this morning when I had a post cancelled.

I was trying to avoid it but I must not have done well enough)

We can still do some things, like moving post or threads, locking them, or temporal
banning with approval. Also maintain the sales topic posts with its rule. We
also come to the forum often to report the spam, as Admin can sort reports by
how many different people reported anything.
We have also had a meeting with the Admins (after the fact) to discuss this...

Would it be possible to get a "posts to review" topic that you could
move the spam posts to, while the "official" reviews are in progress?
It looks like they've completely overhauled everything to do with reporting
and moderation, and not for the better. Everything takes longer, and if you dare
to report anything you'll be spammed with emails.
The worst of this in my opinion, is the reclassification of reporting problems
with listings, as "content" as if someone mistakenly listing a used set
as "new" is equivalent to nasty comments in the forum. Failing to differentiate
"Keeping the community safe" from "Keeping the catalogue/price chart
clean" was a lazy way to do things, and has turned a previously smooth system
into a complicated, slow and nonsensical affair.

I wonder if that's causing people to report things less; "I'm sure
someone else will report it, because I'm not dealing with the spam."
But then everyone does that and things stay up longer than they should.
I reported some posts the old way once and got an email within minutes telling
me to use the new method. Meanwhile the post stayed up for another hour.
