Greetings…

Received an order ($20 loose used bricks) to a US buyer which was paid. Order
fulfilled and shipped. They received it and claimed it was ordered fraudulently
on their account and asked to return it for a refund. I am happy to take it back
and refund but noticed that several of their feedback in the past 48 hours have
been removed as likely others doing the same I did by removing positive feedback.

Is the best option to simply cancel the order via BL and refund when 8 get the
order back, or something else like NPB?

Thanks and Pizza on! 🍕

probably just best to wait for it to be returned, then refund it and then cancel
the bricklink order without an NPB unless the buyer seems aggressive or you notice
they are leaving bad feedback or such

Someone stole her credit card, made a Bricklink account using her own email,
name, address and even made the username "MOMMY...." but she claims it
was fraud.
She either needs to admit she just changed her mind, bought the wrong set or,
is a bad parent (assuming it was her kid)
She also said she knows who did it. Doesn't want to say or involve the police.
Seems legit to me LOL

By the way I tried to ask the others about it but I was blocked after my 2nd
message for the spam limits that were added.

Report the account since it was set up to comment fraud.

The NPB sounds like a good way to get the liar removed. Only takes 3 of the 5.

Its the age old adage in my old profession. "Two can keep a secret if one
is dead".

Ship him some nubs yoghurt and pineapple that stuff could kill a donkey

Pineapple with peanuts is a vile combination that might work better

You can't file an NPB on an order that was paid and subsequently refunded.
Refund the order after you get it back - buyer should pay return shipping. Subtract
original shipping and the PayPal fee from the refund.

I do agree on the buyer paying return shipping but I’m not sure how it would
work on PayPal if they don’t refund the PayPal fee in regards to a unauthorized
purchase case, and if they don’t fully refund the PayPal fees then they can’t
refund the bricklink fees

There is no PayPal case (at least not yet).

The BL fees aren't refunded automatically, but you can email BL and ask for
the fees to be refund. Not sure how long that takes nowadays though.

If you cancel then they're credited to you

I’m 99% sure bricklink dosent refund fees unless you cancel the order which can
only be done if you have fully refunded it

I'm sorry, I didn't realize there was some debate over not fully refunding.
I think it's best to refund fully since otherwise you can get hit with a
chargeback.

I concur. The tiny amount in PayPal fees is just the cost of business when doing
refunds like that

If they haven't opened it. Writing "return to sender" will save the
return shipping usually.

Is this an established account? I get these occasionally on ebay, and I'll
be honest, the parent usually just takes the L and keeps the items.

Thanks all- it’s a new user who had 5, now 2 feedback as I think they are pulling
the same stunt with other sellers. I pulled my feedback from them as well. They
have opened a PayPal case and PayPal has taken the $$ out of my account for the
time being. Allegedly the shipment is coming back to me. End of day I am likely
going to be out $5 shipping and time to put the order back into my store. Not
terrible but if they had this happen to several folks they need to better lock
down their account.
