I got on order from a buyer who chose Paypal for Paying. As my store is quite
new, i cant offer bank transfer right now.
Now the buyer sent me the money by bank transfer (dont know how he submitted
the order choosing Paypal without Paying then but whatever) Nevermind, i got
the money on my bank account.
Now i cant switch the offer from packed to shipped. According to some entries
in the forum it may be linked to VAT issues (which is funny because im a tax
advisor…)
However: My question is now: What shall I do?
I cant cancel the order as i received the money and the buyer will receive the
parts in a day or two.
I sold the parts via Bricklink so i have to pay fees for that. I dont want troubles
with Bricklink and I dont want to sell Parts outside of Bricklink.
Any tips on how to proceed to a newbie? Still not getting it how you can place
orders by choosing Paypal without Paying. Have Screenshots if necessary

my question is how did the buyer get your banking info to pay by bank transfer
when you as a new seller are not yet allowed to have off-site payments enabled

I had it in the shop terms (for the time when i reach 10 positive reviews etc)
but removed it after that. I thought that it is not a problem because I had only
Paypal enabled. Learned from that…

Are you saying you had your bank details in the terms so the buyer paid that
way without asking first?

If taxes were involved then fully refund the buyer and have them pay onsite

I think Nubs has given you some good advise there. Just 3 weeks ago I had a Netherlands
customer who wanted to pay by bank transfer. I told him I would waive any fees
for Paypal onsite. The fact is when they pay onsite Bricklink retains the VAT
and takes that out of your hands and concern. The VAT is clearly reflected on
the invoice.
I can tell you my customer got his package yesterday as I check the progress
of all my shipments. There were no delays, he did tell me that customs had opened
the Plastic slip ontop of the package and stamped the invoice from Bricklink
as cleared.

Hi thanks, no Taxes involved as it was a Swiss-Swiss transaction and i am not
liable to VAT because i dont reach the threshold for beeing liable to taxes.
Income tax is also
separate from that.

Go to the help desk and self declare what you did. I know a seller on here from
USA did the same with me I paid about 4 grand by bank transfer. He declared this
through bricklink help desk, they charged him fees and I assume an admin manually
changed the status from "packed/ready" to shipped, I later marked it
"complete" as the buyer.
It will take a few weeks for Bricklink to get to it. But they will. If all is
good between you and your customer I wouldn't be waiting for Bricklink to
catch up I would be shipping immediately if you have been paid

There IS VAT involved, as it's an Import for the Netherlands customer, he
should have paid 21% of VAT upfront (if the order was less than 150€).
You may read a information/laws especially if you're shipping outside Switzerland.

My sale was from Switzerland to Switzerland
There are Sales taxes from USA to USA, and Canada GST/HST
Sorry I read above Netherlands, but it wasn't your buyer.
But still, the problem is accepting indirect payment while BrickLink doesn't
propose this method.
You can contact Help Desk, or, agreeing this with the buyer, leave the order
as is, not shipped. Probably.
