Hello guys. I am a new seller I made my account not long ago and I have made
2 orders. One of those orders is from a shop called "Ralphs Bricks" which
is one of my favorites since he also has a youtube. He has blocked me from contacting
him or messaging him. I also had a person log onto my account in sweeden which
I have removed. Could that be why he blocked me? I cant even message him asking
him to unblock me though.

I think it is more likely to be you spamming him...

The price isn't really irrelevant. If the store doesn't want you shopping
there, for whatever reason, then you will have to order from another store.

It looks like you were messaging him daily about his YouTube channel and he was
getting irritated by it.

according to the post the seller made about you yesterday (Yorbrick linked to
it in his answer above), you were constantly messaging him about his youtube
videos which he has stated on his contact form that he will ignore those messages.
Then when he didnt answer you starting constantly messaging him asking why he
ignored/blocked you.

I cannot speak for the other Seller; but with me recently, you sent me two messages
in rapid succession on 11/5:

Message 1:
"Hello Ed! I stumbled my way across your store, since you have so many
bricks! I was wondering why some of your bulk bricks are so expensive? I bought
some of them for way cheaper and in the new quality, so I would expect since
they arent "New" that they would be cheaper? Like im just trying to get
100 bricks and its 40 dollars without shipping? Please explain. Thanks!"

Message 2:
"For example, for the red brick 2x2, you charge almost 20 cents! Other
stores charge 3 cents for new ones. Please explain."

These two messages were sent less than 5 minutes apart; and while I am not always
best at replying promptly (since I work a day job and I'm also regularly
pretty busy), I did reply to you that day with a very lengthy explanation to
answer your questions (because I had just got off vacation and had some time
to do so)... While I didn't necessarily think you'd agree with my explanation,
it would have been nice to at least receive an acknowledgement from you because
I took the time to provide one; but I did not hear back from you at all regarding
it. Which is not a big deal (as it happens all the time for me, and doesn't
really bother me); but then you send two more messages to me the very next day
on 11/6:

Message 1:
"Hi, sorry for contacting you something that is not related to your store.
But someone has placed me on their block list for their store and I dont know
what went wrong. I placed a order at their store about 50 dollars, everything
went smoothly. I ocassionaly asked for some parts to be added and when they were
I would buy them. Then he places me on his block list and says "Ive had enough."I
am new to bricklink, and I would like to know what I might of done that could
be offensive to him? Thanks."

Message 2:
"Ive also had my account logged into by a user in sweeden, which I have
logged out of. This was 4 houres later then he logged in though. And he put me
on his blocklist 2 houres after he logged in saying "Ive had enough.""

These two messages were sent within 8 minutes of each other...

While I can sympathize with your dilemma, why would I waste any more of my time
responding to someone that does not even acknowledge the response I had already
provided? This is where I am guessing the other Sellers may have landed with
you after similar engagements...

So, if I were you, I would take a little more time when reaching out to people
to clarify exactly what you are asking, and to at least take a moment to acknowledge
and/or thank them for being kind enough to engage with you in conversation (since
we're likely all really busy with work, family, and life in general); otherwise,
it looks like you are just rapid-fire asking questions of people, and not actually
engaging them in a conversation (and I know I really wouldn't stick
around for that, so I imagine others wouldn't as well)...

Lastly, you must be able to accept that once someone says "I'm done"
to you, that they must be, and you need to move on from that... again, while
I can sympathize with your dilemma, you should really stop and do some introspection/self-assessment
to see what you are doing before trying to get someone to have to explain it
to you succinctly (but if they do, you need to take it to heart and at least
acknowledge them!)...

Just my 2¢...

Life is Good.

Also, I apologize for this, but the reason for me sending 2 messages only 5 minutes
out, is that I wanted to add something, but there is not an option to edit the
message. So this is why I had to send another message. Please do not think this
is your fault of yourself not being able to respond fast. Thank you for responding
in general.

Buyers who ask a lot of questions *generally* become problem buyers. Experienced
sellers know this.

If you don't want to get blocked, stop being so chatty, it's a red flag
for most of us because it screams grippy socks or child. Other platforms are
the place for that.

Asking about pricing is rude, also. Ed was more patient with you than I would
have been.

If you don't want to get blocked, stop being so chatty, it's a red flag
for most of us because it screams grippy socks or child. Other platforms are
the place for that.

Asking about pricing is rude, also. Ed was more patient with you than I would
have been.

Crystal

I understand sir. Im sorry for contacting many times. I will not anymore.

Lol

This is a perfect example, you aren't reading what is being written back
to you. Read my reply again.

Crystal

I agree he's not reading, Sir!

Do you mean chatting on the help page? Or contacting via the contact button on

I apologize for not understanding. And I understand now. I also apologize for
pronouncing your title as Sir instead of Maám.

She is trying to tell you that she would not have been as tolerant as the person
that you were contacting was. You do not need to apologize to her and if you
were to apoligize to her, the correct term would be ma'am not sir.

You’re fine. Communication is a good thing as long as basic etiquette is maintained.
Consider not questioning another’s pricing motives or selling practices, would
be a start. Instead, if you’re not satisfied with either, make a straightforward
offer and/or just move on. Keep in mind, the time and effort required of a selling-member
to handle replies of all kinds, and accept their answer (if given) as earnest.

It’s generally better to over rather than under communicate or not at all, provided
you're considerate, mostly of the other's time. Just a bit more empathy
or understanding when seeking answers, is all.

Any possible infatuations notwithstanding, of course

Stay strong - Be happy

I do wish to still make more orders with him, and have recently placed another
30 dollar order. I have a cool idea for a republic cruiser, not the set, but
a modified one! Have a nice day!

Post pics of it here in the forum, when completed.

Pics of the order or the pieces when they arrive?

I understand sir. Im sorry for contacting many times. I will not anymore.

Ok sir, thank you.

You're very courteous. Just carry that with a bit more understanding over
into your private comms. You'll do fine...

Thank you for the kind words sir. Have a nice day!

Looks like you've been given a probationary reprieve. Contingent to your

I agree. If a buyer doesn't like the pricing, just go elsewhere. A seller
with many years of experience is not going to change or explain their pricing
model, especially if it is asked over multiple emails.

Since I've already put this out there I'll explain why I stopped messaging
you.

We started out with your messages asking me to restock parts as you were putting
your order together. I usually don't do that but since you asked for Bricks
I was able to search my bricks bin quickly and upload those quickly. Then you
asked for more decorated tiles to be restocked and I didn't want to do that.
This is usually not a typical request from customers and have never had that
request from a new customer before so that was a weird interaction for me. I
stayed patient and did what I had time for.

You placed your order and requested I pull your order on video which I did.
It took me more effort to do that and I wound up pulling your order on a Sunday
when I had time to shoot the video while pulling a fairly sizable order, but
I did that for you. https://youtube.com/shorts/VE-NVgbTpMw Multiple messages
about the video which I read then you asked about things you were seeing in the
video.

You've now realized that I do not want questions about my Youtube channel
sent to me in Bricklink messages. I need/want to keep Bricklink messaging to
business. I ignored those questions which you messaged repeatedly to me over
a few days. If you want to talk about Youtube there is a way to leave comments
on videos. That is the place where I would have answered the question you were
looking for.

You crossed the line when you continued to message me daily asking why I blocked
you on both here and the other site I sell LEGO on. This really was over
the top and made me not want more communications with you. Frankly it felt like
you were stalking me. Even your feedback while positive mentioned that I blocked
you.

When you messaged about restocking again 1 x 6 bricks I decided to cut it off
and Stop list you as another order from you would just mean more messages.

I do this full time and am trying to pay my bills and I really don't have
time for drama or want to risk violating Bricklink TOS with non-business related
discussions.

I'll give you one more chance and will remove you from my stop list. Please
communicate sparingly with regards to your order only. If you want to discuss
Youtube please do it on Youtube.

You've been nice and respectful but you do come across as creepy and a bit
like a stalker as you've continued to message me everyday since I stopped
communicating with you on October 28th.

Hi ralph, thank you for trusting me. I will NOT do what I did last time. I apologize
since I did not see that message. I truly would of stopped. And I apologize for
trying to message you on the other lego platform. Thank you for trusting me again.
Have a nice day sir.

Sorry to be the grammar police, but this is one of my biggest pet peeves.

"would have" leads to the contraction "would've" (there is
no "would of" even though "would've" sounds like it)

"could have" leads to the contraction "could've" (there is
no "could of" even though "could've" sounds like it)

"should have" leads to the contraction "should've" (there
is no "should of" even though "should've" sounds like it)

So, your sentence "I truly would of stopped." should be "I truly
would've stopped." or "I truly would have stopped."

And now you know.

Good luck to you.

Cheers,
Randy

Thanks for the grammar help lol. English is not my first language, so I sometimes
make mistakes. Thanks for pointing it out!
