I’m surprised at the number of sales still being posted on the forum, maybe this
has always been the way at this time of the year and I’ve not noticed.
I’m getting a steady flow of orders and I had the impression that sales usually
pick up now after the summer holidays.

It seemed to me there’s more Sales at the beginnings or ends of months… but a
quick look at the new posts from the last couple months and I don’t see any obvious
trend.
Someone could make some stats over the past year (since the limit passed to one
post per month), or more… but I don’t think I will

Is the one sales post per month policy still in place? It was meant to be in
place for six months in the first instance and then assessed. I asked on the
original thread about a month ago but nothing was added as to whether it continues
beyond the six month period it was meant to be in place.

The limit is still in place and enforced (reminded first, soft ban then).
From the moderation side, it seems to work, but there’s been no other assessment.

What do you think about it as a forumer?
I think it is good, but it should come with an official statement that the policy
is in place. The last official statement was that it was a six month trial and
that period has ended.
This includes duplicate posts by the same user to see if things have dropped
off and compared to October 2023, sale posts are down by nearly 84%.
There have been a lot more posts about store closings though IMO, but to do that
you'd need to read one year's worth of post subjects and determine what
the post is actually about. If you type in "closing" you get lots of
threads about "closing in on (brick color)".

You continue to lean upon graphs, seemingly to validate points you wish to make?
Make them via expression without the graphs, which are easily constructed. I'm
still listening

I'm making Stuart and SylvainLS's points, not mine. Stuart posed the
question, Sylvain jokingly asked for a graph. A handful of keystrokes later
out comes a visualization which is easier to digest than reading a list of months
and numbers.

I got the impression over the year that there have been quite a few closing down
posts from stores that haven't been going very long.

Could it be a DAC7 effect?
I don’t think so: it’s too soon to say yet for DAC-7.
Also, there’s been “new” stores closing down all year-long since I joined here,
along with waves of new stores after some article about LEGO being more profitable
than gold….
