Someone who works for Bricklink should 'install' a huge scrolling banner
at the top of all pages (most importantly here in the forum) warning about the
scams being attempted.

This would be a great solution to make sure everyone is aware and as an added
bonus we may not have to see a new thread started every 2.6 minutes talking about
it.

I provide these fantastic ideas free of charge.

Ah, then here’s your problem: “what is free has no value.”

Ideas need to come with a three-piece suit, a briefcase, and a hefty invoice

Yeah, good metaphor. But some of these tropes serve mostly as anchors weighing
down the inherent will of humanity to rise, in my opinion.

There are countless things "what is free” that prove ultimately to have the
most value in our lives. This hard truth is sadly and often recognized
at the end, and only when our mortality is firmly realized.

Kinda feels cosmically unjust, in that it should be that we are born wise, living
our lives with wisdom instead of only gaining such as the wick is burning down
and when we're less able to confer that wisdom to others... Evolutionarily
counterintuitive? Maybe Unless earned appreciation for a thing, is actually
the better concept...

To others: if you've not read “Last and First Men” concepts of which unbelievably
come from our early 1900 thinking, do so. If interested, there's a
contemporary film based on the book, that I've heard good things about too.

An email was sent to all Sellers on Friday, not sure if it when out to buyers
or not.

I fear (because it used Mailchimp) it only went out to those who have opted in
for the Newsletter: https://www.bricklink.com/pref_contact.asp (scroll down).

No banners please, I’m sure sales go down each time a maintenance banner is displayed.

As proven by the DAC7 message, they can limit banners to some specific pages
(store settings…).

I didn't get the email, even though I opted in to mail. But I am temporarily
closed, maybe that is why?

I got this one and my store never was open.

Do you normally receive the newsletters?
(I think the last ones were about BDP… or if those count as marketting and not
newsletters then there was the Studio one….)

Maybe you have the same problem as 1001bricks?  (He unsuscribed on Mailchimp
for another thing and couldn’t then get any other mails from them.)

Your sales will go down as more people fall victim to the scammers.

6 of 1, half dozen of another.

As long as I can remember, that reservoir's water level has been depressing
low. Nice to hear that it's back at near full capacity and bountiful again.

Have fun and make sure Skragle doesn't run afoul of those uptight state rangers
Btw, the Blue gill and Striped bass are better eating and with less bones than

A few years back it was really low, 135 feet lower then max capacity. It was
just so weird seeing it that low, being able to walk out a couple of hundred
feet on dry ground and seeing stuff that had been under water for so long now
exposed. At this time is just a little lower then normal, getting ready to handle
possible winter storms.

Never! But he does like to chase his arch-nemesis's croooooows and squirrrrrrrrels

Gotta be interesting experiencing the place both ways, or condition

Is this safe to sell here?

You must have a bricklink store to sell here. If you try to sell without one,
you are likely to be a target for scammers.

But in general, it is safe to buy and sell here.

Hi there. I am not in the forum much but I am wondering what scams are happening
on BL now a days??? I have been debating to attach my paypal to my store again
and allow USA buyers to buy,, but I don't want any headaches... So what
sort of scams are people running now? Or are they the usual old Paypal scams?
Thanks in advance,, and for the free advice.
James

Someone who works for Bricklink should 'install' a huge scrolling banner
at the top of all pages (most importantly here in the forum) warning about the
scams being attempted.

This would be a great solution to make sure everyone is aware and as an added
bonus we may not have to see a new thread started every 2.6 minutes talking about
it.

I provide these fantastic ideas free of charge.
