I'm still puzzled by seeing so many (half maybe?) US sellers who don't
export.
I mean, sell everywhere!
Yes, shipping's expensive, but the buyer pays for it.
Yes, those orders may be rare but it's better than nothing, isn't it?
No, it's generally not more problematic than local orders.
Personally - yes it was another era - but I decided to ship everywhere since
the very first day.

My biggest issue with other countries is Local regulations that may prevent me
from shipping (Ex: Germany with the Fee) or countries that seem to lose packages
most of the time (Ex: Italy) or countries that are in the middle of a war (Ex:
Ukraine, Israel, etc). Have you ever run into these types of problems?

I've had no lost packages to Italy and I've shipped more then 1 package
to isreal since the war there and I haven't had any problems with those packages
either. Germany on the other hand with the packing fee I personally still dont
ship to

Over the years we have only had one or two overseas orders go missing. I really
wouldn't worry about packages going missing.

Thank you for the reassurance. I had just seen many things about Italy in particular
losing packages as well as Southern African nations, thanks again!

In regards to Italy, we have had a total of 34 order from their. Two of them
in the last 6 months and the rest prior to that and all with no problems.
We have had a total of 6 orders from South Africa also with no problems.

I have had:
20 orders to Italy,
8 orders to Israel,
and none lost.
As far as I remember, I have had one lost package in these countries: Canada
(no track), USA (with track), Hungary (no track).
For Europe, you should learn how to electronically submit VAT number, and you
also need to print the VAT invoice (that bricklink will send you for each order)
and attach it to the box. If you don't electonically submit VAT number to
the carrier, that unfortunate buyer will be charged VAT for the second time by
its government when the package reaches his country.
For UK, you also need to attach the VAT invoice to the box, but I think it is
not necessary to electronically submit the VAT number.

Don't know what fee you're talking about.
If it's VAT, every adult in Europe is aware of.

German Packaging Act (VerpackG).
I should post pictures in forum of the craps some sellers fill their boxes with,
and ship them so the other countries have to throw or recycle!
Like this US seller who put all his plastic garbage (in a garbage bag, thank
you!), some empty toilet paper from Netherlands, handkerchiefs boxes from Germany
- Lidl promotion flyers, dirty newspapers, and many disgusting things.
I should invoice these guys for getting rid of their trash.

dirty, discoloured, ancient newspapers are the worst to get. but maybe the pet
food boxes I've gotten lego in are worse. toilet paper rolls tho that you
mentioned... that would be an instant negative feedback for me.

Don´t you have it too in France?
For everything we (re)introduce to the cycle we have to pay fees upon fees...
That´s why you maybe find so many fillers for safe transport.
We have to pay the fees for it, but at least not the material on top again.
Remember, all those fillers have been paid fees for already the first time they
were used,
and now they turn the cycle of fees to over and over and over.
A roll of bubblefoilwrap (10x1m) has gone from 7€ to 35€ within the last years.
So i can imagine many smaller shops to collect the fillers of their private orders
or company purchases.
You can´t ship it safely without fillers as well, so there must be one kind of
tradeoff.
I personally stick to the fillers from incoming packages, or that of neighborhoods
ones,
so i don´t need to use the stuff you described.

there and pay a fee.
