Potential Tropical Storm NINE has been designated, and may be upgraded to a Tropical
Storm tonight or tomorrow. Current model simulations bring it in somewhere along
the Florida Big Bend.
If this continues as expected, I plan to stop operations early on Wednesday morning,
with the intention to ship any orders received on Wednesday. Conditions are expected
to deteriorate on Thursday.

Take care of yourself.
Always, and thanks. I am watching the various weather forecasts, statements,
and models, to decide if evacuation will be necessary. Wednesday evening I will
have to make that call.

It's Tropical Storm Helene now and the NHC is forecasting that it's going
to get stronger as it heads out in the Gulf. Stay safe!!

My store was closed earlier today. One order shipped. My best guess (depends
on what happens between now and then) is sometime Saturday. All depends on power,
any damage, and internet status. See ya'll on the other side

Best of luck! Tho the storms themselves are amazing to view the damage can be
serious

Saturday morning update:
I made it thru the storm intact. No power and operating minimally off smartphone.
Inventory is intact. Probably 80% of the local customers are without power. Damage
was minor here, although some of the roof of a hay barn (maybe 500-feet away)
was removed by the wind. Very wild night, it was an E-ticket ride. About 3 AM
I took a flashlight and wondered down to my front gate, looked at all the limbs
in the road. A few minutes later a pickup truck (with SHERIFF on the side) was
doing a slow crawl up the road pulling limbs/branches out of the road, so as
to re-open it for first responders and traffic. Word is that areas to my west
got hit much worse (Horseshoe Beach, Steinhatchee, and Keeton Beach).
I’m likely down until after power is restored, so Monday to Wednesday is not
unreasonable.

Thanks for the update. Here's hoping you get power back in a reasonable amount
of time. 🤞

Power came back up on Sunday afternoon about 5PM. Currently cleaning and deciding
what did not survive and has to be thrown out. Sunday evening I learned that
an older refrigerator, which had been without power for almost 3 days, takes
a long time to cool back down. This morning I was able to freeze a cup of water,
so that was a signal that it is ready.
Sunday morning, I was able to pedal into Trenton in search of ice. A number of
blockages on the multi-use trail had to be circumvented (including one downed
wire of uncertain potential). Ice allowed me one extra 24 hours grace at trying
to save some things which were thawing. Now I am (slowly) transferring back into
the freezer. Lots of other cleanups to do.
Prior to sunrise I tried to pedal in the opposite direction, but ran into so
many downed trees I gave up. The trail maintenance people have not been reachable
over the weekend.
Best guess is no later than Wednesday to resume BL selling.
