Hi everyone,
My store has been open for two weeks now and we had one sale. I was hoping to
get some advice or tips on how to run or market a new BL store from the more
experience sellers on here.

Lot and item are a very big playing role in getting orders. The bigger the selection
the more likely they need something that another store might not have
It looks like you don't support shipping to the USA (or at least the 45 states
that have sales tax.) In order to do that, you'll need to set up an on-site
payment method.

Hi David,
Thank you for your advice, I did not realise that onsite was not set up properly.
Would you be able to tell me how to fix this issue.

Most buyers pay with PayPal. If your buyers can pay with PayPal through
Bricklink instead of through PayPal directly, then BL automatically charges the
sales tax and sends it to the proper state without you needing to do anything.

I suggest listing only items pulled from a sealed bag or box as new, I see you
have some older instructions listed as "new"
Maybe you did, but if you didn't then you should change the condition to
used and make a note that it is in very good condition.

You have a small amount of inventory. Although there is nothing wrong with starting
small and building up, you should adjust expectations. It may result in reduced
sales in the following ways.
1. It will be harder for people to find you, because you won't have many
items on their list.
2. With such a small amount of inventory, it may be very difficult for your buyer
to put together an order of more than $5.00 USD, ($6.77 CAD) . So then, they
will be faced with a $3.00 (4.00 CAD) Service charge (Yikes), and they will probably
empty their cart and go shop somewhere else.
3. If you don't want want to deal with orders of less than a certain amount
you can set a minimum order amount, although I think that $6.77 is fairly high
for a minimum order. And I don't see the purpose of such a high service charge,
since you are a new store, with small inventory, and you are not swamped with
sales.
Let me put it this way. If I shop in your store, and I can only find $6.76 (CAD)
worth of parts I need, it will cost me $10.76 cents in total to buy that.

Have onsite payments so people can buy from you.
Don't spam sales messages, you are only allowed to do one per month and you've
done two in just a few days. Use sales posts wisely. Don't say 'huge
sale' when it is not. You are probably more likely to get least favourited
than get an order if you trick people into your store with a sales post.

I have just got like between 5-10 sales, compare our stores' size too.
Don't waste your time on marketing,... Instead add parts, and more parts,
and again more parts.
You also should have a good answer for:
- why should a buyer submit an order in my store? What do I offer (in terms of
items) that make him submit an order?
If you don't have a specific answer for that, then that would be something
to work on.
And yes, I know what a buyer may need that I offer and this would be why he may
submit an order.
Again on the lmits. £135 or over to the UK will likely have zero order when
you do not have any sets. It is very ambitious to get an order of that value
in parts alone with a small inventory.

It’s likely since they don’t have onsite setup properly most likely

It looks like Onsite is set up but maybe not properly linked?

I'd say you're doing well, it took me about 6 weeks to get my first sale.
You should change this though, the seller is responsible for seeing that the
order makes to to the customer (and intact) whether it's insured or not:
"We do not assume liability for any damages that occur after the shipment
has been placed in the hands of Canada Post."
