What do you think bulk should sell for by the pound when all minifig, minifig
accs. and printed/stickered pieces have been removed?

To the general population?

Wholesale to resellers? (is there interest for this)

Do people actually buy bulk by the pound on Bricklink?

as a secondary question, what would minifig and accs sell for by the pound?

Nubs will be a good person to answer this since he’s currently in the process
of cherry picking huge amounts of bulk and reselling the remainder. 🙂
But in my opinion, people don’t generally buy bulk on Bricklink, precisely because
it would be robbed of the most valuable parts. Maybe someone building a MOC would
be interested, but I wouldn’t as a reseller.
Without minifigs I might pay $5/lb generally, with random minifigs $10/lb. If
I see something valuable in the photos I might pay more.

Indeed! Quite the fun! I’ve been selling the leftover stuff without figures for
about $4-$5 per pound currently and as for the value of minifigures per pound
in general if it’s truly random and unpicked I usually pay $100-$200 per pound
and for accsssories I generally buy at about $30-$60 per pound

Not really

I pay under $3(with shipping) per pound with minifigures/accessories mixed in.
I recently calculated the average price per pound of minifigure accessories is
$160 from the data that I have collected. That being said that’s the average
price not cost so probably $50-$60 per pound or something.
For minifigures I think the norm is $100 per pound depending on theme

So cheap! Lately after including pickup costs I’m paying almost $10 (usually
around $7-$8) per pound for the lots I’m getting

The theme can change the price indeed. I’ve seen Star Wars lots go for almost
$1000 per pound. If I’m being honest I don’t even know if that profitable and
I assume they are bought by major YouTubers who get money from views

Aren’t you a major YouTuber who gets money from views? 😉 Maybe you will buy
one someday!
It will be so fun to watch when you finally get to that minifig backlog on your
kitchen counter.

Haven’t made a single penny from the YouTube vids themselves yet but
maybe someday I can tho I’m having trouble trying to get the area setup for going
thru minifigure hauls

Indeed! I’m starting to think that I might actually be able to hit my 200 pound
goal before the end of the year!

it’s not nearly as rich in minifigures as the ones your getting but there’s
still plenty of them
