Hallo,

DANKE

Hi,

It depends on the order's amount (shipping and other fees included).

If it's below €150:
You'll have to pay Import VAT (20% in Austria).  BrickLink will add it to
the total (so you'll see it on the invoice).
One small problem: be sure the seller knows what to do because if they don't,
you'll have to pay VAT again at reception (plus a “brokering” fee from the
postal services).  Check the seller's feedback.

If it's above €150:
You'll pay everything at reception.
That's:
— 20% Import VAT,
— some duty (around 2%-3% I think),
— and a “brokering” fee from the postal services / courier.  The amount of the
fee varies, from €5 to €20 or more.
(Note: you pay VAT on everything, including duty….)

Thank you

I'm trying to find out now

So if I order for 10$, shipping 5$ I will have to pay 20% on 10$, 10$ + 2$ (20%
of 10$) + 5$ = 17$

nothing left?

Is this all or I don't understand it

Du mußt auf die Ware und den Versandkosten 20% Einfuhrumsatzsteuer bezahlen.
Wenn du Pech hast, verlangt die Post noch eine Bearbeitungsgebühr.

No, as Dino said, but with numbers: 10 + 5 + 3 (20% of 15) = 18.

  nothing left?

Nothing left… if the seller correctly transmits the IOSS number electronically
(when they buy the shipping) and if the postal services get it correctly and
transmit it correctly to Austrian customs.

Otherwise, you pay again 3.6 (%20 of 18) + a fee (5, 10…?) to get your package
because customs won't believe you already paid VAT to BL and the postal services
will charge a fee for collecting those 3.6.

But then again, sellers get it right nowadays and “double VATing” doesn't
seem to happen so frequently.  That's why you need to check the seller's
feedback to see if people from EU bought from them in the last couple years and
were happy
