Stores have terms, right? Timing, costs, return policy. If you comply with every
last detail of the terms - say, by returning parts you are unhappy with - is
that considered a valid reason to leave negative feedback?
From what I can see in the "list of reasons we will remove feedback,"
it is. That's sort of bizarre to me.
I got my first negative feedback, and like others here, boy should I have paid
more attention to the store's long record of malpractice before ordering.
But it feels weird that the actual comment on the feedback is, "He returned
parts he was unhappy with."

Hope you added that store to your least favorite list.
Curious, what made you place your order there? In addition to the store's
feedback record, the prices for even common pieces are quite high.

Yup.

A couple of rare pieces I needed, all in the same place.
Ugh, it's a crap feeling, looks like they dont care about getting or receiving
negs, after the first 10 or so one must get numb to it LOL
I doubt they are numb, seeing how they respond to replies (professional, with
a touch of emotional). But I'd wager with a store that big negs don't
matter because it the store still sells plenty.

I have no doubt you are correct. It looks like an attitude of "we don't
need to improve as people keep buying from us".

You know they're not popular when they're already on your least favorited
list.

Pretty much anything can be a “valid reason” for neutral/negative feedback. Luckily
as a buyer (especially with lots of feedback like you) it won’t affect you in
any way ok bricklink.

The tracking/shipping terms are archaic to me. My goodness.

Keep saying it, no way that people with a 2% non positive feedback ratio should
have open stores...

The problem with such an algorithmic approach is that it could affect new users
in an unintended way. If a seller has 40 feedback for selling and gets a negative
(possibly unwarranted), then is there no way they should be allowed to remain
open? Any new sellers offering low prices could be instantly shut down by a rival
seller buying from them and then leaving a negative. Even bigger stores could
be affected by placing multiple orders, then leaving multiple negatives.
It is far better to allow buyers to make the decision themselves based on the
level of risk they want to take.
