Surely this has been asked before.
For how long is a new element (in inventories) considered as new?

Thanks!

Next question: is it possible to do a search for all new elements from the past
6 months?

I don't think so.

You can find new parts added to the catalog by date:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?sortBy=D&sortAsc=D&catType=P

But that won't give you older parts in new colors.

This would be a very nice "special" search to add to the bottom of this
page:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogSearch.asp?v=C

Cheers,
Randy

I usually check directly under new images, it does show new colors in parts and
new parts, but you get also new images of old parts in between.

Too bad we can't do a search like this yet.
In the meantime we'll have to resort to newelementary.com but that has no
integration with BL unfortunately.
