| This question pertains to purchasing (buyer) transactions.
Why do Paypal transactions show as double transactions? I was only charged once
on each transaction, but the way it shows in PP is very confusing and only happens
with Bricklink transactions. I cross referenced my cc statement which indicated
only one payment.
I've not seen this with any other merchant in 20+ years of being with PayPal.
I'm "New" to Bricklink after a 22 year hiatus so apologies if this
has been discussed already.

I believe the first one is an order then the second one is payment.
I think I could be wrong though

Don't most disappear though? I think Bricklink is the only site so far that
I've seen where both stick around.

Because there's first an authorization from PayPal ( "Order" ), and
then the buyer comes back to BrickLink and uses the green button to confirm the
payment, which creates a confirmation of the order on PayPal as the "Purchase
from".

That said, the way it's done actually can result in problems. I've
had a couple of buyers question me about their PayPal activity page, assuming
they had inadvertently double paid. Had to take the time needed to explain the
somewhat understandable misunderstanding they hastily held.
It can be done better, iow.

Yes, totally agree. Probably worse and harder to consolidate if paying via PayPal
balance vs an outside source like a linked credit card.

It shows the same for sellers as well.
But it says “order from” instead of “order to”.
