I am a buyer and
I made an order on March 7th
the price of total item total was around 120 euros
this seller didnt answer me for a week

then charged me 90 euros for the shipping
he didnt say anything about shipping cost on his page
so i didnt know it was gonna be that
and i thought the shipping is too much for what i was ordering
so i asked him to cancel my order
after that he didnt say anything for more than 10 days

then 2 days ago which was 25th
I got NPB alert non-payment buyer

I am not sure I was the wrong one here
then i want to know how i shouldve reacted
or if this is something can be considered unfair
i want to know how i should react from here

After 7 days you could have opened a NRS.
Although you've got the right to to cancel, the seller opened the NPB because
he wants to be protected against any feedback.
You can go to the NPB page and click option NPx "accept penalty and cancel
order".
One strike won't hurt your buyers status.
Or contact the Helpdesk if you don't want to accept the penalty:

Sounds pretty shady to me.
So the seller can't work with the buyers requests.. but can immediately file
an NPB?

Did you follow this and request the cancellation, or did you just message the
seller asking them to cancel it?

If you have the NPB completed against you, then you can try asking for it to
be removed as you thought the postage was too much. The NPB won't matter
unless you make a habit of placing orders and not paying for them. However, you
might get negative feedback for not paying for this order and would not be able
to leave feedback for the seller.

In the future, ask about shipping costs before placing the order if they are
not calculated by instant checkout or detailed in the seller terms. Shipping
large or heavy boxes internationally with tracking can be expensive.

What was it you ordered, parts, sets, or a combination ?

If it was sets only, and in original boxes, the shipping might well have been
high. Cost of order does not have a direct relationship to cost of shipping,
especially when it involves international shipping.
