Hello everyone
I bought a 4,000 euro Lego from a Dutch seller on September 5th.
Today I received a box with only 700gr. It was an empty box. I didn't sign
for it or open it, the box will automatically be returned to the seller.
I contacted the seller to ask for a refund, but he didn’t reply. What should
I do? I used bank transfer.
Please help me, thank you very much.

shipping service should have a record of how much the package weighed.
easy math will conclude if it was an empty box or not.

not sure how you knew it weighed 700 grams if you never signed for it, accepted
it & weighed the box yourself, maybe label showed the weight...??

700 grams = 1.5 pounds...

it was a 1.5 pound empty box...????,,,??

that is some heavy cardboard.

contact paypal directly & explain what occured.

facts will figue it out.

It's not uncommon to send large amounts (thousands of dollars/euros) via
bank transfer. Paying via PayPal Goods & Services would cost the recipient hundreds
in PayPal merchant fees.

label showed the weight!!!When I picked up the package, I felt something was
wrong, it was very light, I bought an inside tour 4000037. Its package weight
should be more than 1kg. So I chose to refuse to sign for it because I didn’t
want the seller to say that I took away the Lego.

On what planet is that a heavy box? The buyer bought a large set.

OP its possible it was stolen in transit. Do not blame the seller until you know
for sure.

On what planet is that a heavy box?

Maybe Jupiter? Jupiter's gravity is 2.4 times that of Earth. Though it depends
if we're talking mass (700 grams) or weight (1.5 pounds).

I sell many full sets and many boxes I use are regularly over a pound. some
around 2 pounds if double walled.

Well, I might wait longer than no time to see if they reply.

Did you get a chance to examine the box? Did it appear to have been tampered
with?

Was this an established seller? How's their feedback look?

As I said, the laber of the package showed only 700gr. I didn't want to sign
for it, and then the seller said I took away the Lego.
I sent an email and he didn't reply.

You might have been better off signing for it as you don't have paypal protection
anyway
and if the seller does have bad intentions then refusing delivery is unlikely
to improve your situation.
I would have signed for it and taken photos of the sealed package exactly as
you received it and then taken video footage of you opening the box at least
that way you have evidence of what has been sent and actually in the box/if not
empty!. You also have proof of the incorrect displayed weight on the package
to backup the fact that the correct goods can't have been sent to begin with?

If you involve the police this evidence may be more beneficial compared with
returning something where there is no proof of what was truly sent?

Just to add that if the seller has good intentions and simply sent you the wrong
package by mistake then returning the package may have been the best outcome
however I would have still accepted the package in order to better safeguard
myself foremost after all if they've sent out the wrong goods then it's
their problem/issue to fix anyway! Even if you have doubts you should be well
within your right to assume that what has been sent is correct!

Best thing you can do now is contact the seller to let them know you've refused
the package along with reasons why and hope there is a simple explanation for
what has occurred. You also want to quickly seek that reassurance from them that
everything will be looked into/resolved!

The set is 1000 pieces, so 700 gram is about half the weight of that set is my
guess. And, it was the only set for sale on BL. I think you have been scammed.
And 4000 euro is way over priced. The set cost around 2700$

And WTF did you pay with a bank transfer? No matter what happens, you lost your
money unless the seller gives you a refund.

And going to the police will do nothing.

I think this is going to end in tears.

Where did you find this?
I've found a bit more than 820 parts and 630g on the Mecabricks model.

Agreed, especially after having refused the parcel.

There’s no redress BL offers regarding your payment, it’s unable. If that's
what you’re seeking to learn here today. The site does offer punitive procedures
that might be useful in leveraging a possible refund, if needed. But that's
subject to the other party's commitment to their membership, and not the
opportunistic type.

Was the purchase 3,000 or 4,000 Euros?

  Hello everyone
I bought a 4,000 euro Lego from a Dutch seller on September 5th.
Today I received a box with only 700gr. It was an empty box. I didn't sign
for it or open it, the box will automatically be returned to the seller.
I contacted the seller to ask for a refund, but he didn’t reply. What should
I do? I used bank transfer.
Please help me, thank you very much.

Contact your bank. Depending on which one you use there is a high likelihood
they will refund you.

Unless your bank gets your money back, I think you're out 4,000 Euro.

Looking at the item you purchased, the weight for the item is unknown, as it
has a ? on it. So I don't know why you would have refused the package. As
a matter of fact, lots of details are unknown about this item.

Did you even think to check the catalog before buying? With so many unknowns
I would not have considered buying this item.

If there is not known information about an item, the buyer should beware of purchasing
it. They might lose their money, as have you.

Why do people jump into a costly transaction and not consider the unknown?

Cheers ...
