I've been selling on Bricklink for about a year and have and good months
and bad months. But I have never where had just one order in a months time until
August. I have good feedback and ship orders quickly. I'm adding new inventory
add new inventory almost every day and have over 58k in parts with almost 8k
in lots. I price everything a the 6 month average. What am I doing wrong or
what else can I do?

Summertime is slow in general. Sales will pick up soon. Your hard work will pay
off.

Wow, please disregard my typing skills. I should have reread it before I posted.
I hope you get the gist of what I'm trying to say.

You're not doing anything wrong, just slow this time of year. You're
store has clear terms and good shipping prices. The orders will come. Keep adding.
Also remember there is a lot of competition out there. The more lots and parts
you have the more you will stand out from the others.

It happens, I had 2 of the best months (June/July) in several years then August
has been one of my worst months ever. In your case, 58K is not a lot of inventory.

The weird thing is, last year in August I just had a little over 30k in parts
and had 6 orders. I have more parts and lots now and alot less orders. I hope
things pick up. I've got about 10 new sets to part out and about 2 or 3k
in used parts to list. I don't want top buy more at the moment until sales
pick up.
Thanks for all the responses. I'm glad I'm not the only one being slow.

Last year in August I had 188 orders, this year I'll be lucky if I hit 70.
I attribute this to inflation causing discretionary spending to go down since
people need food, shelter, and utilities more than they need Lego.

Wait until the evenings get colder and darker!
Pricing at 6 month average is quite high for a small store. Bigger stores can
get away with pricing higher, smaller ones not so much.
If you're a smaller than average store, you need lower than average prices.
That's just common sense.

Depends on the demand of the items you have for sale though.
You could have the smallest store on Bricklink and still ask the highest prices
on this planet if what you're selling is rare and in demand enough.

+1 to all other comments; just the usual slow time, even if slower than the previous
year But it makes for the perfect time to ramp up for the busiest time of
year!

+2 although the one drawback at least for me is even tho I know sales will increase
I’m always worried they won’t and then get into a lull and my listing slows down
until sales pick up again and then I start listing a lot again

The slow is in general very slow at this time of the year but I just received
one order today and the problem seems to be already resolved!
