Just need some advice regarding the store inventory.
I used Brick store software to inventory and then uploaded the inventory to my
store.
I have closed my store to change the way I store the Lego (so transferring the
Lego pieces into a new location).
I'm discovering a large number of pieces that are not in my inventory but
I have the files that I used to upload them into the store.
The pieces have disappeared from my inventory and there is a lot of them.
Is this common or does anyone know if any issue like this
Steve
I take a backup most nights because of issues like this, and 99%+ (okay 100%)
of the time it is my error. I thought I clicked verify file, but obviously have
not or I don't finalize the verification step (upload file.)
The only thing I find difficult is doing a difference comparisons on my store
inventory and my backup files. Therefore, now, I double and triple check that
I am doing all of the steps.
This is not to say that the site does not have any errors, I am just saying,
personally, I have found myself to be at fault for my inventory errors. Which
I have not had for a few months. (Touch wood)
Also, I try to do a physical inventory during slow sales periods. That helps
find things that are not in inventory, but should be and items that are missing.
I only physically count items that are less than 25 to 50, and counts that look
obviously off.
