LEGO is very fine, it's one of the best tool to learn to build, dream or
find solutions.
LEGO business is... another thing.
Don't hope anything from selling regarding "income" or time
spent vs profit.
Some brand parts here are sold NEW for 0.005€ or such (half a cent) and it requires
a huge work.
If you're thinking business, sell PCs, drives, 3D printers, smartphones,
raspberry pies...
Otherwise, for learning how transactions are, how to manage buyers, complaints,
demands, shipping and tracking, the catalog, an inventory, yes - here's
a very good place to learn for a kid/not so kid
You need to build your stock to get frequent orders, quality, accuracy and excellent
customer service a must.
Never be slow to ask advice/help here, BL has a great community full of expertise
in running a store and oh so knowledgeable about all Lego related items.
A sense of humour will be a real bonus on the forum.

Welcome! Like others have said, you wont get rich but its a fun hobby. For
me, figuring out the shipping was a big deal and it took quite a bit of trial
and error (and asking questions!) to get it right. I currently use Pirate Ship
and I'm really happy with it. It gets you commercial rates which saves buyers
quite a bit and makes your store more favorable to buy from. Best of luck with

Use what you have, build your own, buy some new or used -- it doesn't
have to be fancy it just has to provide efficient shelving of some kind.
